I have seen a lot of people say that they love Merrell shoes especially for walking all day at Disney. My first question is what shoes line are you getting and how do they fit? I normally wear a wide but can't find where they carry wides on their website. Also, second question does anyone know if a major retailor carries them so I can try them on to see how the fit? Thanks ~Joi

I'll be wearing my "stinky merrel mesh slides" to WDW. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned and the ugliest!

They sell them at a big box store around here called Shoe Station... I would assume the dept stores have them though. We have a store called Sand Dollar shoes that only carries Burks and Merrells, don't know if thats a chain or not.

We are in Colorado and we get them at Dillards, but I have also seen them at Bass Pro Shops and I believe it was REI.

They sell a few styles at most sporting goods stores, however I have only been able to find sneakers.

I recently bought a pair of mary janes (circuit) and boots, but I had to order them online because I couldn't find any in the stores. Zappos and shoes.com have free shipping and free returns, so you could order two or three pairs and try them.

I normally wear an 8.5 and they fit me perfectly, so if you must order online go with your regular shoe size. I'm not sure about wide width though.

Their website has a store locator - http://www.merrell.com/us/#home/&popup=store_locator

I have Merrill Maipos that I ordered for last year's trip. I bought them for me, my daughter and my mom and we LOVED them. They do run wide, so I think you'll be fine. They were the best investment I made for my trip. They look and fit like sneakers, but are fast drying. Both my DD and I wore them all week (after only having worn them at home once or twice) and we NO problems. My mom wore her sneakers, that were well worn and broken in, and wound up with blisters. Then she switched over and was much more comfortable. I bought ours from shoebuy.com

As with any new brand of shoe, try before you buy! I cannot STAND Merrells - they're just not made for my feet. That being said, I have a friend who never buys anything else! Local sporting goods shops may have them (like Dick's in the northeast), REI, EMS maybe? And don't forget you can just try them on locally, but buy them online for potentially much less!

The mesh slides are just the description. I can't stand anything on my heels and would be miserable in tennis shoes all day. I would also say that the style I bought tends to run a little wide. Mine wash wonderfully!

Around here, you can usually find discounted Merrells at Marshalls and DSW. HTH.

Dillard's stores carry Merrell's.

I wear Merrell's and love them. But, as a PP said, not every shoe brand works for everyone. I just did shopping this morning for some new Merrell's for our coming Disney trip. I want a few weeks to get used to them.

You will find the widest variety online. The 3 sites that I'm listing below have a huge variety of Merrell's and of many other brands. Also --- and this makes huge sense for purchasing shoes online ---- Shipping is free, and RETURN shipping is free for these sites. That allows you to purchase multiple pairs of shoes, knowing that you'll need to return some (or all) of them. You can try different sizes of the same style, or you might find several different styles or brands that you want to try. Try them all, and return what you don't want. Even the standard, free, shipping is supposed to be pretty quick. I haven't received my order yet, though, so I'm not certain.

Shoebuy dot com
Zappos dot com

You might find pricing to vary by $2 or $3 among the websites. This morning, I did see one style that was $9 less on Shoes dot com. I haven't often seen Merrell's on sale, unless it's clearance.

Also ---- I saw this morning that Shoes dot com currently has a 15% discount promotion going. But it isn't good on most of the premium brands, such as Merrell's.

I bought a pair from Zappos last year and they were the most comfortable shoe I ever wore all day. I'm definately going to wear them again this year.:yay:

I have... an insane number of pairs of Merrells. I got my first pair of light hiking shoes from them over 5 years ago for winter wear, and haven't looked back. For warm weather, I love the Encore Mary-Janes - I actually own them in three colors! Heck, I've even worn them all winter, with socks!

Also, with Merrell, if you do buy a pair and end up not liking them, contact the company. They stand by their products and will exchange or refund (you need the receipt for a refund) any pair of shoes that do not work for you. I contacted them several weeks ago about a pair of shoes that I bought LAST MAY that I had only worn a couple times because they give me horrible blisters. They, without question, arranged a return on them and sent me a new pair of shoes of my choice. I chose the Circuit Mary Janes (so cute!) as an exchange and have been very happy with them.

I bought Merrell sneakers for my past trip in Jan and love them!!! They are soooo comfy. I have all brands of sneakers in my closet and I wear these the most :)

I only recently bought my first pair of Merrells - a pair of Moab Ventillators - in preparation for my upcoming Vegas trip. I haven't yet worn them to WDW, but I started wearing them to work the day after I bought them, figuring I'd wear them for a week or two under easy circumstances to break them in... yeah, I'm still wearing them a month later.

These puppies are quite possibly the best shoes I've ever owned. I can't wait to get out in the desert with them, or walk the miles and miles of pavement on the Vegas strip.

And when I take my yearly trip to WDW this year, my Ventillators are going to take me there! Well, not all the way there; they'll take me onto the plane, and the plane will take me most of the way. But, you know, my Merrells will be on me feet while I'm on the plane.

I had a pair for a year and a half that I wore almost every day. The sole started splitting in a couple of places. I called Merrell, they had me mail them in, and I received an identical but brand new pair in return. Companies that stand behind their products like that very quickly earn my loyalty.

That's great to hear! I was so surprised that they exchanged the shoes that I had held on to for almost a year, with no receipt! I agree, it's hard NOT to be loyal to a company that has such a commitment to their customers!

I have a pair of Merrell Palmetto Slides which I bought for my trips to WDW. They are extremely comfortable and definitely recommend them. They are available at Macy's, Nordstrom and Amazon.

Merrells are wonderful. Another good shoe is Keen. I work at LL Bean and I wear my Merrells at work, standing on my feet for 8 hours, they're very comfy. Good support.

Of course LL Bean sells them too, LL Bean has a 100% satisfaction guarantee so if you wear them and they dont feel the way they should, you can bring them back. Or if the shoe is defective and starts to crack or soemthing, you can return them as well.

If you have to order through a catalog, you can still send them back for a refund.

The Merrells I wear a lot are the Moab Ventilators. I love them!

I'm actually thinking of purchasing another pair of sneakers for Disney this year. Theyre half the price of Merrells and theyre a type of water shoe. I havent bought them yet but soooo many people come in and brag how great they are, a lot of nurses buy them, being on their feet all day, these shoes are comfortable and light, made for spring and summer. I have co-workers who love them too. They are so light and the way theyre made, if they get wet, the water drains right out of the bottom. You can read customer reviews as well.
