Ok. I know that you are looking for success stories, but I really don't have one. However, I will share with you what I do know.
There has only been one person that I have know personally that took Meridia. It would have been great if it had worked for her, but it did not. She continued to eat the same as she did before. Maybe it did supress her apetite, but maybe her continued eating was psychological. I don't know. Anyway, she eventually quit taking it.
I have a friend, whose mother-in-law has taken everything that could be prescribed and she did pretty much the same as the person mentioned above.
There really isn't a pill that can make you lose weight, of which you probably know. Sure there are some that will help with supressing your apetite for awhile, but you need to do the rest of the work to get the weight off.
I think the key is in how bad you want to lose the weight. If it is something that you are going to really work for then maybe the prescription will work for you as a tool to get the weight loss started. But if you are looking for something to solve your problems with little effort (the two women above) then it probably won't work.
Hopefully, you and your dr. can find the right balance for you to reach your goal. Good luck.
