Next week, I have a reservation at SSR for Dec 7 in a preferred studio, then Dec 8 & 9 in a standard studio. I booked late and so just took what I could get at the time at the same resort. I've been stalking reservations for the past month (and have a waitlist request in for Riviera), but have been unable to get any studio Dec 7-10 in its entirety. So, as it sits right now, we'd have to move rooms after one night, which obviously isn't ideal.
So I'm curious if anyone has any tips/tricks on how to get into a single room/reservation? We really don't care if it's a preferred or standard studio, so my plan is to just ask at check-in if they're able to put us in a single room, either standard or preferred, and hope for the best. We'd also be open to switching to a completely different resort if something opened up, but that doesn't seem likely now that I'm about a week out. And, if it turns out they can't do anything, we'll just switch rooms and be happy that we're spending time at Disney.
