Merging rooms booked with points thru different members

I rented points from 2 different people for 1 night each (Aug 30 & 31) AKL same room type for both. Is there someone to contact so that we can keep the same room and don't have to move everything? TIA

You have to ask each owner to note it’s a continuous stay and the other reservation number.

They can’t be merged. When you get there, double check with the front desk to see if they have done it and if not, they will try.

We do this a lot and so far, have never had to switch rooms

If they won’t contact MS for you, then all you can do is try when you get there. It does benefit the resort to have you in the same room!

Also piecemeal nights often.
When we get to resort, instead of going right to room, I remind them of the situation.

Never ever had to switch unless different category.

Also if you have a touring plans subscription when requesting your room fill in the notes both reservation numbers.

I went through something similar last October. I had a trip booked with points from a different member and later booked an extra day using my points. To make sure it was handled correctly I checked in at the front desk instead of virtually and explained to them that I had two reservations of the same type of room and if it would be possible to stay in the same room for both. The cast member took care of it and we had no issues staying in the same room.

I have a similar question, at Aulani. I'd like to book a studio with my points, and/but I also have some credit at one of the rental sites.
If I have a rental reservation at Aulani and a reservation booked on my own points, can I ask MS to note that these are continuous stays? I will make sure to book in the same room category.

Anything else to be aware of specific to Aulani? I know there are no guarantees but is this request likely to be filled at Aulani?

Either owner can do this in chat if you have both reservation numbers. This will usually work because they don't want to pay to clean the room.

I would suggest that you and the other owner each do it

MS can not access the other persons membership to add it unless thst owner contacts them. I have found it helps to have things on both.
