Merge a reservation across use year?

I have a February use year and a reservation for January 31 (check out Feb 1) for one night so I could use a small remainder of banked points from my 2024 use year. I had these due to canceling an October trip bc of the hurricane.

I also have the same room from Feb 1-Feb 3 using my 2025 points.

Can I have these two reservations merged by member services even though the trip straddles my use year and is using points from different years? They said yes when I called. But it doesn’t look like it worked (I received the cancellation email indicating the merge was underway but nothing has changed). But maybe I just need to wait it out to see if it will work?

Give it time to show. I have gotten that cancel email and then the new one a few hours later.

Thank you! It’s still not showing, but I’ll check in with them at the end of the week if the issue persists. My guess is it should merge okay so maybe it’s just being weird!
