Meridith, her family and friends, there were probably 15 or so of them total, sat across from us in Teppanyaki two New Year's Eve's ago. She was very bossy to her kids, telling them where to sit, what to order, etc. She didn't sit with them however, she sat with her adult friends at an adjacent table. It was very interesting to watch. She was sort of a control freak and a little ADD'ish. She was very hyper.
We didn't know anyone at our table but we were sitting with two other families that were great company and all we did was comment back and forth to each other about what she was doing, etc etc etc. In a way I felt bad, everyone was noticing her. However, in another way I didn't feel bad for her at all because she kept on yelling BEN, BEN, BEN....
From her table over to her sons. I just felt she brought a lot of attention to herself that wasn't necessarily warranted.
That said, since I don't watch TODAY and I don't watch the CBS Evening news, I basically won't see Katie or Meri ever again....
