Merchandise gift card E-mail?

I remember before Xmas hearing of people getting these E-mails offering a merchandise gift card for a percentage off. I think a $500.00 card went for $375.00 or something like that. Has anyone received one of these recently? Just curious. I would love one for our vacation in March.
