I accepted the offer that Disney gave me for the DCP but I have one question. Am I allowed to wear my engagement ring when on stage? In the offer it says: "Not wear jewelry on arms or hands, including wristwatches and medical information jewelry. The exception is a plain (commitment/wedding) ring, without stones, engravings, raised designs or jagged edges." This was stated as "In order to maintain a safe and healthy environment and comply with Florida state-mandated regulatory food standards, all Cast Members hired to work in any Merchandise or Food and Beverage establishment that prepares and/or serves food and beverage, regardless of role" I'm just assuming that its only for Food and Beverage but does anyone know if its for Merch too?

If you get placed in a location such as goofys candy company or the confectionary(which are both merch I believe) then you will have to comply with that rule. When I worked merch in fantasyland, I didn't prepare food, so I was able to wear a watch and my claddagh ring with no problem.

Yup Goofy and Candy Cauldron in DTD are two places with that rule that I know of. Also I don't know if it's still the rules are not but at DTD you aren't allowed to wear watches now and I think you can't wear any jewelry. I know when I worked at CC Mickeys Groove D Street and DisneyQuest. No one ever wore any jewelry.

On the upside, if you get placed at either of those locations, I guarantee you'll be too paranoid that the ring will get messy from food (or lost in it) to wear it while you work! I had a ring that I couldn't wear on my program (too long), so it lived in the pocket of my costume everyday! Good luck! :goodvibes

Very true! I would never wear any jewelry at Candy Cauldron:laughing:

If you're in a merch location that doesn't prepare any food (such as the Emporium), you can wear the standard allotment of Disney Look jewelry. This includes: Earrings (one pair, in the earlobes), one wristwatch, and on ring on each hand (with the exception of a wedding set).

All pieces of jewelry must meet the Disney Look standards :]

Hi Roomie! I miss you!

Anyway, There are other merch locations where you cannot wear any jewelry such as mine, Hollywood Studios Backlands [because of Writer's Stop!]. Parts of Frontier-Land (holy spelling issues) also have this rule. Sweet Spells is a merch location that also has this rule.
