It was supposed to be some big hotel/condo/development called Aqua, but I don't know the status. Guess I should find out, since we'll be staying in a hotel right next door next month. Woo-hoo, construction noise!

I think that Aqua resort is out,what will be going in there is a shopping center with restaurants called "The Square",last time I drove by there were construction fences and a sign saying The Square.

Missthe&co - We will be staying along there next month as well. April 15-18, Stayed there last year as well, but this area was still all fenced in, didn't look like much going on, I was hoping there would be something new to do along I-Drive.

That looks promising, but I really loved the old Mercado.

Phase I construction will begin Fall 2007

{snerk} Guess they got the year wrong. With this hideous economy here in good ol' FL I doubt anything will happen for quite a long while other than the wasteland that's currently there.
