So I can't go down for taste testing and I just got the menu stuff. Did anyone use the menu suggested or did you customize your own menu? Im not too crazy about the suggested menus. Any recommendations?:confused3

Oh heck!
Definitely customize it!
Nothing on our menu resembled any of the suggested menu except for our DP menu.

Think about your favorite foods or your favorite fancy food and start from there. Or ask for opinion, say have a list of stuff you definitely have to have but you don't know what chicken dish or veggie dish would work with them. Give your list to your planner and ask for suggestions... the chef will work with you.

If you have a specific dish they don't know how to make give them the recipe (if you have it). They'll try and recreate it.

If you have favorite park food (my favorite is Le Cellier pretzel bread and mushroom risotto). Put that on the list and they'll get it for you... :)

Good luck and have fun!!!

GJLS10108, my menu was customized. I was having a progressive dinner party for my custom vow renewal and the menu that was created for me reflected each of the venues that my guests were going to be dining in. It worked out well. Had that menu been left up to me, it would have been pork & beans since I am not a cook (that's my husband's job in our marriage).

Cseca gave some good suggestions. Start there and work on the menu until you are completely happy with it. Good luck!

I also am doing a custom menu. I just thought about the foods that DF and I like to eat, and also foods that we have while at Disney that we really ove! HTH
