We are getting married at noon and I was looking through the menus and there are only 3 lunch menus...So is there more of a selection,we are thinking about a buffet but the one buffet menu has breakfast items as well. Because the reception will be at 1 I would like to stay away from the breakfast foods so are there other options?

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I have to respond back to Disney with my selections for the tasting bu september 3rd so I am just trying to get an idea of what we should taste as well.

If you had a noon wedding let me know what you served for lunch. Thanks:)

I would suggest the vodka ravaoli. I hear it is amazingly good. You can also offer soups and salads. Have a look at the dinner menus and see what they have. They can probably put anything you are intersted in from the dinner menu for your lunch reception!

I did look through the dinner menus and I didn't see any pasta selections:confused3 I am soo confused by all the menus...I thought that like you could have each person pick a chicken, beef or fish. I am soo stressed over this:scared:

I totally get being confused about menus. It took us over a month to figure everything out.
We are having a noon wedding also & we really didn't want any breakfast food either. We talked to our planner and she gave us all the dinner menus.
We ended up combining lunch & dinner and are having a buffet.
We are having salads, flat breads & dips, soup, meat tray etc. for the lunch stuff.
For dinner side of it all we are having turkey, mahi mahi, beef & pork tenderloin. That way everyone can have a choice and I don't have to have a plated menu.
I would definatley see if you can get all the menus your venue has to offer and just start piecing things together. It is kind of a pain in the butt, but I found that it was the easiest way to make sure there was something for everyone but still being able to have it done the way that I wanted.
Also if you don't see it on any menus talk to your planner because chances are they can get it for you. They are really willing to work with you to achieve your perfect menu.

dont panic- i promise you all the food will be good and i am sure they will help with the selections i emailed my lady and told her i did not like any and she told me to tell her what i wanted she made it all work!!!

ok to answer you question about pickinf the chicken , fish and beef this is called crown service and is wayyy expenzive. they do have a duo plate choice or buffet??? i hope this helps

You can select about 3 entrees to taste at the tasting session. After you have made your selection when you send out your invitaitons there will be a box for beef, fish, or chicken, the guest selects the one they want and you note it. Then either on menus if you have them or their table name card you somehow identify which entree the guest wanted so the servers know which dish to serve. For example a different color ribbon for fish, chicken, and beef on the menu.

I think that I am going to stick with a buffet, but what will the price be.Do I still have to pay for a dinner buffet even though we are having it during lunch time?

The price you pay is solely determined by the food you have, not so much the time of day you are serving it as long as you are meeting all of your minimums. Like there is no 'set' price for a lunch buffet or dinner buffet. If you choose lobster on your buffet it will be more expensive than chicken and so forth.

OK I get it..should I serve a buffet or do sit down. What do you all think is better for a 1:00 reception.

we have learned that sometimes you have to keep asking your WP what other options there are when it comes to food. when she first sent us menus (we have to do buffet since we're at ADH)..there were only 2 or 3 menu choices and they were waaay over our budget. so i asked if she could send me some different buffet menus, and she sent a bunch more. still a bit pricey...then i read somewhere on the boards that you can ask for what they call "rehearsal dinner" menus...so i asked her to send those. some of those menus are very basic (as in hamburgers and hotdogs, but there were several that really sound good). i don't have them on this computer to send to you, but it's definitely worth looking into, especially since you can combine things from different menus. i really wish they'd send you everything at once so you can decide..i feel like i wouldn't know about all these menu options unless i specifically asked.

i think a buffet would work better for a 1:00 reception, but it's really up to you and how you vision your day to be. good luck!:)
