I know, I know, this is awful...Next thing you know, churros will be 'cinnamon nuggets' and the corn dogs with be 'corn puppies.' I guess the Tigger Tails will become one sad marshmallow on a stick...

I hope not!! That would be sad......

As for the lemonade, Wetzel's Pretzels has GREAT lemonade!! When we stayed at the GCH I would go over that at night and grab a cup because it was just so good!! I always drink water w/lemon squeezed in.....but I wouldn't want to pay for a lemonade and find lemon water. Thanks for the warning Sherry! Oh and BTW, the BEST lemonade EVER is the Freckled Lemonade at Red Robin, which is a short jaunt down Harbor towards the Target store. You can get it to go too!

And speaking of Dole whips they raised the price to 3 bucks and were dishing out the smallest servings I have ever gotten this weekend. It is getting real close to not worth it to me.

I was going to try to fit in a 3night trip before Jan 09. But now I will save that money and go when times are better.

I wouldnt go that far because who knows when times are going to actually get better and them lessening the amount of food they give will not stop me from going to DL because the food plays a small part in the whole scheme of it...besides that just means I have to buy more snacks

Yes, exactly. It is one thing if you ask for water with a spritz of lemon, but when you ask and pay for lemonade, you want lemonade, not lemon water. I was almost tempted to stop into Wetzel's the other day and grab a lemonade, but I was discouraged at that point and gave up. Is it like Hot Dog on a Stick-type lemonade (yum)? Next time I will go there!

Is this purely economic, or is it part of the great drive for healthy food?

Which seems a shame to me, we always eat really well at home, but holidays are my one let-loose time, and if I want to eat burger and chips for 3 meals I will

Of course having healthy choices is great, and would never suggest otherwise, but does seem a shame to lose all those great tastes!

Hope the tigger tails don't change before I can have 1 - only 2 months to go (and a bit)

Well, we went down to DLR on Sunday. Only place we ate was at DCA at the Taste Pilots' Grilll. We did notice that it was now chicken nuggets, not strips, and that it was MinuteMaid or Countrytime Lite lemonade at the soda fountain. On the other hand, there were PLENTY of tomato slices at the condiment bar, and they were huge and looked (and tasted) great.

For those of you who just have to have lemonade, I did notice that the fruit stand over near the Farmer's Market and near the plaza area between the Tomorrowland Stage and Space Mountain both carried the small bottles of Tropicana's Simply Lemonade (my husband's lemonade of choice), as well as their orange juice.

From what I've also seen on another board, it seems that the replacement of chicken strips by nuggets is universal at DLR

Oh well, I still have the memories (and some photos) of the chicken strips, fries and funnel cake I had at Farmers Market two years ago

Yes, it is like Hot Dog on a Stick, which has the BEST lemonade too. I would have complained and not paid for the lemon water.

Was it Simply Lemonade or Simply Lime? They had simply Simply Lime last time I was there, no lemon.

That's a bummer. I have never been to Disneyland but I noticed menu changes at a lot of WDW parks as well. They seem to all be switching to chicken nuggets instead of chicken strips.

I worked at RR for six and a half years! Anyway...I will def try to make it to wetzels to try their lemonade on this trip or def in april! Thanks!!

For us the more they skip on quality and raise prices the less we purchase in the parks.

Thankfully, ESPN Zone still serves chicken strips and has not yet gone the way of the nugget!

We have never been to the ESPN Zone..... usually don't take a break from te parks but maybe tomorrow we will have to...If not,we will definatel try it soon...

ESPN Zone has awesome chicken tenders. I had it in a salad and I was stuffed...couldn't even finish it all. It was around $14 for the salad, but you could easily share with 2 people and I stayed full for a while.
