Orphan.... DH and I watched this Friday...I will never be the same again. It wasn't scary so much as it was disturbing I DID NOT see that ending coming...any one else get freaked out by this movie?

I saw it last week as well & I actually thought it was a good movie. Disturbing and creepy, but good.

I didn't find it scary at all but I would have never ever thought about that twist. I thought it was a good movie. We watched it on Halloween.

Yep I thought it was good but I cant get her face out of my mind, especially when she took her teeth out....I have chills just thinking about it.....gives me the heebie jeebies.

I just don't like scary movies anymore, so I read the whole synopsis. I think it's a really good twist, and disturbing all the same. My kids will really like it.

I actually hated this movie.. I had the plot twist figured out about halfway through the movie. I'm pretty particular about scary movies, though.

I will post the plot twist since I already disclosed there was a spoiler.

She is not a deranged little girl. She is a 33 year old woman that keeps getting adopted (pretending to be a 9 year old girl) she tries to seduce the men in the families. She has a hormonal problem that doesn't allow her to grow so she looks like a 9 year old. She wears fake teeth and tapes her ****s.

When I watched it, we had a house full of kids (8 I believe). I was forced to watch it from about 30 feet back (do have a Samsung 46" HD TV), but my eyes are getting so bad that it's hard to see from that distance. I could see the pic fine, but there were a few times when you had to read the screen (daughter was deaf and wasn't there some foreign languages spoken from time to time?). I was also sitting in a computer chair which isn't the most comfy for watching a movie. Add that the movie was right over 2 hours long and I was just happy for it to end.

All of the above may have ruined the movie for me. I'm sorry I didn't wait and watch it at a later time. I might have loved it.

OMG, this movie was awesome! Dh and I rented it last Halloween weekend. She is such a pretty well behaved girl right at first then she is crazy. I thought she was some type of ghost until mom found the ...well TMI ya gotta watch it.

Uh oh. I was bored with the movie and just fast forwarded to the end. I wasn't even aware of a plot twist. That's what I get for being impatient.

The girl (who I presume was really a girl ) did a nice job in the movie though.

I have told as many people as I could that I absolutely loved this movie! Loved the acting, the script (loved the husband/wife relationship), love the plot! That movie kicked horror booty!

I know this an older post, but i just watched this DVD this morning. I really enjoyed it, but I like those freaky type thriller/horror movies
It was a lot better then I actually thought it would be.
