Are you a bifold or trifold guy.
I use a trifold I like the way it fits in the pocket better.

All my wallets have been gifts . Currently it’s a bifold but it’s getting pretty ratty. I’ll be looking for a new one sometime soon.

I hadn't though about it. But I have had trifolds for years and years and years. Not sure why. I have had bifolds, but decades ago.

My dh has a leather bifold that has window pocket flap that he uses to store his insurance card and license. He says that it's the best wallet I've bought him.

Dh uses one of those phone case/wallet jobs so he reduces one thing in his pockets. It was a little pricey, but looks very posh when he pulls it out.

DH uses a Coach bifold leather wallet. He bought it about 5 years ago and it’s still in great condition. Best $50 spent!

Good thread. I'm gonna buy a new one for my upcoming solo trip. Was thinking a trifold Velcro? Carrying a little cash, I'd, maybe a card. Would love to set up a Google pay account and just carry I'd. Anyone have experience with that?

I gave up on carrying a separate wallet 2 years ago and couldn't be happier!

Instead I have a cell phone case that doubles as a wallet. That way I only have to keep up with one item.

I went with a 2 in 1 detachable style.

I keep my license tucked behind the phone in that part of the case. I can remove the phone and leave the wallet part behind when I go exercise. That way I have my phone, license, and ApplePay available for emergencies.

For the wallet side I whittled down all my cards to 2 credit cards in one slot, my ATM card and Costco card in the second slot, and my medical, prescription, and a general discount card in the third slot. For all the other cards I used to carry around I found digital alternatives.

Bi-fold money clip wallet, similar to this. Has a clear window for driver's license, about 5 slots for credit and other cards, and a magnetic clip to keep cash in place. Each slot can hold two or more cards.

It's carried in my left front pocket, never in a rear pocket.

Does the phone stay attached to the rest of the wallet really well with that one? I have an attached phone/wallet case that I love, but I think a detachable one would be better, the last one I tried was horrible though, the magnet was just not strong enough, and I had visions of my phone falling to the ground every time I opened it.

It has a very strong magnet. I can grab onto the credit card side and shake rather violently and the phone remains attached.

Dh's is deattachable, he's never had a single problem with it and it gets lots of back and forth, and looks sharp; he loves it. https://burkleycase.com/products/ma...Kba9Y3xAl7OmDb4kuaD-Ofs2u8HZuQ5xoC6gQQAvD_BwE

I have a tri fold. It's probably 15 years old.
I bought my Wilson leather tri-fold wallet when I started driving. I just replaced it about a month ago. Oh, I started driving in 1988, so 31 years old!

I now have a bi-fold. Holds the bills better than having the bills fold up weird in a tri-fold.

I prefer bi-fold. When I travel I tend to minimize and only carry the removable license holder with a few cards in it.

Trifold...just carry a lot of stuff.

There's the new trend of minimalist wallets with the money on the outside and cards on the other...or similar. that makes me paranoid

With all the darn membership cards and payment cards I seem to need on a regular basis, I had to go with a tri-fold that had a lot of card slots. If I didn't need all the cards I'd go with something much smaller and easier.

Same here - something very similar and also in my front pocket. Don't like wallets in my back pocket

don't carry a wallet. I have business card holder that just holds all my cards and license. Very rarely carry cash
