Okay, men....here is your question of the day.

What is in a wink? This morning at the corner mart, when I gave the guy my money, he gave me a wink as he took it. Last nite at Chili's, same thing. Brings me a drink, gives me a wink.

What is up with that? What is in a wink?

hmm in my case a wink is a miracle i cant wink anymore since the drs sealed my right eye i cant seem to pull it off

I think the wink has returned!

Twice in the last couple days I've been winked at by members of the opposite sex. One was a doctor as he was handing me a chart, the other wink was from the guy cleaning the floor in the hospital as I tippy toed over the floor he had just cleaned.

I don't think it means the same thing it used to. At least not in my case!

For me I always take it the same as when a guy calls me Honey or Sweetie. For some guys that is just the way they are and they don't really mean anything by it. For some they think you are nice and/or good looking and it is a way of acknowledging that. For others they think you are hot and it is their attempt at picking you up. So I don't know that you can really read anything into the wink. Just think the best and go on.

Our music minister is a winker. He's from Australia, but I don't think it's necessarily and Austrialian thing. He winks as a sign of encouragement, nothing flirty. I think, more and more, it's becoming another way of smiling, just a way to say thanks, good job, nice to see you, nothing more. However, there are those that wink and you know it means more, if you know what I mean. Winks are different.

I kinda figured it was probably a "new" male gesture...like a "how you doin' " sort of thing. Seems to be catching on with the younger crowd now...
