Men banned from Buffet

Two men from Houma, LA claim that they were discriminated against because they were charged twice for eating at a Chinese buffet. The video is hilarious! My husband and I watched it a couple of times last night.


I am from this town….but I do not know these people.

It is just too funny not to share.

I promise you, not everyone from Houma is like this!

This happened to my husbands co-worker! He was working out of town and eating dinner at the Chinese buffet every night near his hotel. He was eating nothing but plates full of meat and shrimp every night . They finally came up to him and told him that after he finished his meal he was to never come back again!

This is a family joke with us. My son who is 6'4" and over 250 lbs loves Chinese buffet. We went to one in Va once and the waiter/owner kept coming up to him and saying in his broken english "you drink water, drink water". We know he was counting the plates my son had filled with General Seo(SP) chicken and shrimp.

We have a chinese buffet in our town that has crab legs on it. Our kids LOVE crab legs!! When we went there, they charged us EXTRA if we ate crab legs off the buffet!!!

We were like huh? Well yeah we want crab legs! Like I'm going to tell the kids they can't have any cause the mean restaurant lady says it costs extra (even though it's right there on the buffet)
We haven't been back there.

I could understand if it was a separate add on part of the buffet like $3.00 extra for the seafood portion of the buffet. But they didn't tell us that going in and it was just on the regular part of the buffet. Then when they noticed us EATING the crab legs, they told us it was extra! Then pointed to a very small sign located above the crab legs.

that is too funny. when they open all you can eat buffets, didn't they think it might be a possibility some people would eat more then others? So then I guess it would be an all you can eat buffet for those we allow to. or, how about I'll only pay half since I only had one plate.

My dad still tells us the story of when him and one of his brother went to an all you can eat place and were there for about 2 hours and were asked to leave... they said no (late teen or eairly 20's) unless they got their money back since they weren't done eating yet. So the place decided to give their money back since they thought that would have been the cheapest way out. well as my dad tells the story, they were just finishing their sweets and would have been out the door in just minutes, but got to eat for free instead! BTW, my uncle tells the story almost to the t... so I guess it most be pretty close to true!

There is a Lobster buffet place near me that has a 2 hour time limit and currently $75 per plate!

When I was in college I worked in a liquor store and the owner would treat the staff at the end of the summer at this place. We would "train" for a few days leading up to the night and then we would go and wreck the place. It was a lot of fun, but you can only eat so many lobsters and clams!

Each Sunday (?) night they would raffle off a 10lb lobster and one year after gorging ourselves, we actually won the 10lb'er too. Man it was a pain cooking that monster!

There is an all you can eat seafood in Orlando that has lobster. My parents took us where we were younger, so I don't remember the "rules and regulations". But I do remember eating lobster like crawfish!
