Men are such fools.

And women are judgmental and nosey.... some of them anyway ;)

No kidding. People disgust me. I have two wonderful brothers, a wonderful father, terrific male friends. They are NOT fools and it disturbs me that people are so willing to throw labels on 50% of the population simply because some of them do things that people don't like. Of course that makes all men fools

As for the Tiger Woods comment, he may be a fool. But that doesn't automatically make all men fools. Leanne Rimes' husband filed for divorce, according to People magazine. I suppose she's not to blame for that, right? It was all Eddie Cibrian's fault.

When I saw them together-I immediately thought of Billy Joel and his current "ex" wife. The looks of this couple are similar-as is the age difference. The girl is in it for the $$$:sad2:

There is a lot of speculation that the Joel's marriage ended because of his drinking. Just because they split up doesn't mean they were in the relationship for the wrong reasons.

People need to mind their own business and stop caring so much about what other people are doing.

And the concept that you can only like certain music based on your age is... well... ageist. Who chooses a boyfriend/girlfriend based on that anyway :confused3

;)

Attended a wonderful christmas party that a wealthy man held for his company/clients. He went thru a bad divorce a couple years ago.

He had his girlfriend in attendance

He's an old looking 55
She is 28 (same age as his kids)
:sad2:

So your experience with this one man causes you to paint all men with the same broad brush? If you are married, OP, does your husband know that this is how you truly feel about him? Have you asked him how he feels about that?

My best friend and her husband (51)just separated. Why? She objected to his affair with his youngest's son's ex-fiancee (26,and trying not to be too mean but tattooed, pierced, very overweight, and very common acting).

The situation has her soon to be ex baffled; why should his son be bothered by this? DUH! The ick factor is just too high to explain to him. He had denied the whole thing; my friend had an attorney and PI along with video, photos, texts, etc. Mid-life crazy!

I don't see how a difference in age makes someone a fool. :confused3

I guess I'm a fool because I'm quite a few years older than my husband. :rolleyes1

Elton John's partner is 15 years younger than he is... does that make him a fool? Or does this logic only apply to straight men?

So is he a fool because he cheated? Or because the person he cheated with had the audacity to be overweight and "common" acting? What does that even mean?!

Man this place is fun.

Deleted for cattiness. This thread is just:rolleyes:, but I'll leave it at that.

I agree.

How can someone sit there and say, "I'm not trying to be mean" and criticize someone in the same sentence? :confused3 It's exactly what they are trying to do.

Well, I never used the word fool at all (but it does fit). For a man married for 32 years to cheat with his son's ex-fiancee is foolish; his wife is wealthy and very generous to him giving him anything he wanted (well, except the 26 year old, lol). His entire life just changed and his children/grandchildren are lost to him at this time.

I'm not disagreeing that this particular person is a jerk for cheating on his wife (with his son's ex, no less). And "jerk" is more appropriate than "fool" in my opinion. But I fail to see what the other person's physical appearance has to do with anything. Would he be less of a jerk if she was skinny senior citizen and didn't have any tattoos and wasn't "common acting"? (Still don't know what that means.) And what does the wife's wealthiness have to do with it? Would he be less of a jerk if the wife was dirt poor?

He'd be a jerk regardless. It has nothing to do with the fact that he's a man, his age, her physical appearance, their societal standing, or their sexual preference. Cheating makes him a jerk. Not that other stuff.

I agree. The whole situation is pretty gross on so many levels; why cheat? If you aren't happy, change it. Work on the marriage, end it honestly if it isn't going to work. Not a single person can understand this particular choice; I've known the man for over 40 years, our fathers were best friends. "Common acting"- loud, swearing, open-mouth chewing, loud public belching, inappropriate speech around children, etc.

All you posters who say there's nothing wrong with it if they're in love blah blah blah. What about the single 40 something women out there who want a man THEIR age and he wants the 20 something year old!!! That is a phenomenom and there have been studies on it. That is unfair to the mature single ladies out there cause they know the majority of men their age are going to go for the young thang......ALOT of you are missing the big picture!

Sooooo......men should only date people their own age even if they are attracted to someone younger? :confused3

What if I wanted to date an older man (if I wasn't married of course) because I like older men better?

Some day I'm going to tell all about my half sister who was 37 and married a man 72. It got down and *dirty* before it ended.
