My apologies for what may be a very dumb question(s), but the Sony camcorder I bought today says it can use either a memory stick duo or memory stick pro duo -- What's the difference with these 2 types of memory cards? Is one better (more reliable) than the other?

Also, does everyone just buy Sony-brand or is SanDisk O.K.? For my still digital camera, I've always used SD and have had no problems.

THANK YOU!!:wizard:

DH said the pro duo access the data faster. He is the Sony guy in the house with his PSP glued to his hand most of the time.

I also know he prefers the Sandisk over the Sony. He says they are faster than Sony. He uses a Sandisk Ultra II in his PSP to watch video on. He had trouble doing that with the Sony ones.
