Hi there! We are 3 weeks out from our WDW vacation. I'm reaching out to my fellow Canadians to find out what you think of the Memory Maker. I'm still on the fence as to whether we should go we that our bring our own camera. Of course we will have our cell phones too (there are 3 of us going). I've looked at the cost of having the Memory Maker vs buying individual photos. Does anyone know if with the Memory Maker, once I've downloaded my pictures, will I be able to print specific ones at photo labs such as Costco or Walmart? I think once I know for sure that I can have the photos printed then I will go ahead and add the Memory Maker.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

If you buy the Memory Maker, you get a zipped folder with jpgs in them. You can do what you want with them, including photoshop them. I think the rules say you can't sell them or something like that.

We buy the Memory Maker when we go. I bring my camera, too. I think the price is reasonable, considering you could get a lot of photos (but you need to be willing to wait a few minutes for some). Look at what a Walmart or Sears, etc photo place will charge for just a few shots. This is for your whole trip.

If you are going for only one day, however, wait and just get that day's Photopass download for $79.

Thanks for the information. We will be there for a week and I think most of the photos we will keep as soft copy and a select few we may get printed or put into a photo book to share with family

We're going in 3 weeks too and I was just thinking about this. We got memory maker our last trip and loved it! So I think we'll do it again this time. We got over 600 pictures, seemed well worth it.

The last time we actually visited a WDW park was in 2009 and I don't think the Memory Maker was available. I'm hoping that my DD (15) will cooperate and pose for pictures.

Hope you and your family have a great time!

I bought it for my trip as we'll be there a week, and this way I will be in the photos too :) We area also going to the Halloween party and hoping for some of the magic shots. Kiddo is actually looking forward to the pictures in front of the castle and the Epcot ball thing, as well as any others. I hope he doesn't change his mind! I figured even if we only get a handful of photos it was worth it.

It's 100% worth it! We get it every trip and love it. Check out Costco for printing pics or photo books, they have great prices on both. Once you get home you can add borders and stickers and neat things to your pics too.

100% YES! You won't regret it. You can also hand over any camera or phone to the photographer and they will use that as well so you will have lots to chose from. You'll be able to see you pictures fairly soon after they are taken in your MDE account and then post them to social media (if you're so inclined) Be sure to ask for "Magic Shots" they'll add some fancy extras after the fact, I believe there is a facebook page with a current list of all the shots.

Here's one of our favs

We bought the Memory Maker and I was VERY glad that I did. We were at Disney for 9 days. By the end of our trip I think our account had something like 600+ photos and video clips on it. Naturally there were a few duplicates but still lots of memories captured, where EVERYONE got to be in the photo!

If you do get it, some of the rides have it too, but make sure you head to the photo kiosk when the ride is finished. You only have a short window to tap your photo and scan your magic band / card to it!!

We have purchased it for all of our trips and are getting it again this summer. It is excellent, as we get so many nice family pictures which are much more difficult to get with your own camera. The bonus is getting the pictures on the rides. One thing to note is that we usually travel with another family and thus, we share the cost. As long as they have your MDE password, they can access and download the pics too.

We have done photo packages for UO, DCL and WDW in the past. WDW photopass is the only one we have purchased for the August trip. It gives us the most value. Besides photopass pics, Magic shots and ride pics/videos, it also includes photo booth pics.

I have mine included in the AP. I thought it was a stupid gimmick inclusion, but honestly it has been a great thing to have. I did not think I would care/enjoy having Memory Maker but now that I have it I cannot believe I disparaged it before.

This is the Facebook Page for PhotoPass --- think the entire programme and Memory Maker is a PRODUCT they sell.

Disney Photopass Service

You can poke around on that page and get some ideas of the types of pictures they will take. Have a blast!
