Memory Maker

Another MM question! I've purchased MM in the past and loved it. This summer I'm traveling with a friend and her daughter. My friend and I are both sort of control freaks who would like to each purchase our own MM so that we can edit them as we wish and download to separate computers (a Mac and PC), etc. I know people will say we are foolish not to share, and we're comfortable with that LOL.

My question is this: can one photo be linked to more than one band? For instance, my DD and friend's DD pose together in front of the castle. Can the photographer scan both my magic band and my friend's so that we both have that one photo on our accounts?

We were there over Spring Break and we asked three different photographers to do magic shots (i.e., Tink, balloons, Stitch coming out of the box, Simba, etc) and we were told they discontinued those. We were there 3/14-3/18. There were far too few photopass photographers available for the crowds there. You waited forever to get a photographer. The pictures on our account were not anything impressive. They were over and under exposed. Several times other families photos were included on our accounts accidentally. There were no photopass photographers at the very pricey character breakfasts and lunches, except for a photo with Belle entering Akershus (she did not visit your table). It was not worth the prepaid $169, and definitely not worth the $199 if you didn't prepay.

No, they'll send you a PhotoPass card to use instead of a Magic Band (or you can buy a Magic Band if you want).

I have decided to purchase memory maker. Now I am trying to decide if we should purchase magic bands solely for use with memory maker (we are staying at the Swan). Is it just an added convenience to have mm linked to your band? Or are there perks that we will not get without a magic band?

Is there a complete list somewhere that has all of the participating attractions/restaurants? We used this in its infancy a few years ago at Disneyland for a family trip and it was wonderful. I have noticed in the past at WDW that my personal camera gets feet shots and the photos are out of focus but the photopass images were properly framed and clear. I presumed it was a tactic to sell the photos, but my husband believes the photographers are just more comfortable with the cameras they use on a day to day basis.

We did it last time and really, really enjoyed the photos we got back. To us, it was worth it. We typically have pictures of us (from all over the world) where it's a selfie with a little bit behind us, to where you can't even really tell where you are. A lot of times we're not comfortable handing off our phone to someone to take a picture of us. This was a pleasant change from that. Sure, you're going to get some duds in there, but I got that with my wedding photos too. They're just giving you all of the shots.
