Hello Disney fans,

I know this has probably been brought up but who is doing Memory Maker with the mask mandate at Disneyworld. This will be our 6 time going in 6 years and we always did the memory maker cause we like getting all those photos and I dont have to worry about not being in the picture. That way we can get the ride photos and many other special moments. With the mask me and my husband are debating about purchasing cause you have to still wear it when you are getting your picture made example in front of Cinderellas castle. I know it is safety I dont mine wearing it but wondering if anyone has is purchasing it still even though you have to wear the mask. We are not going till December of this year so who knows what will happen between now and then.

I have MM automatically due to my AP and I just returned home from a week and a half trip. I honestly would not have purchased it otherwise. While we thought the first few MM pictures were funny mementos, at the end, the photos all started looking the same, especially if you wear sunglasses.

Personally, I’d find a corner to yourself when you go to take a water break and take a photo mask-less then. We did this a few times on an iPhone tripod when we were taking water/snack breaks and they are much nicer. Just be more mindful to choose a photographic location when you chose to snack.

Also remember if someone on a ride takes off his or her mask, then the entire ride loses its photo. This unfortunately happens quite frequently and you sometimes don’t find out until hours later.

Omg, I didn't even think about losing the photo due to people taking their masks off. That's good because it discourages people from doing that. But I also don't want to keep losing pictures throughout my trip. I noticed people at Universal last month going to look at their non-mask pictures and it was so annoying.

I usually either buy a one day mm or have it with my AP. I think this trip I will purchase one really good photo of us with our masks - maybe at the castle or something like that. We just want a photo as a memento of this crazy time

Honestly, they don’t really advertise it so they only find out after the fact. After it happened to us too many times in a row, I just started “reminding” my DH to keep his mask on so the photo doesn’t disappear really loudly so others on the ride would hear me.

Please forgive me if this has been asked...how many are being allowed in rides like SM, POC, and SDMT? We will be a group of 4. I’ll be extremely mad if someone messed up our pics.

Depends on the ride and amount of people in the party. SDMT had a party per car and a row between each party. POC was generally two parties one in front and one in back. ToT and RnR haD 3-4 parties. Generally expect the ride to be full as possible with keeping a row between each party. Only exception is safari where they filled each row.

We had issues on SDMT and ToT with maskless parties in our photos.

It took me a while to decide to purchase MM for our recent trip at the end of July but in the end I love MM because it puts me in the picture so i went ahead and I don’t regret it. Yes we had mask on in all the pictures but these pictures capture a trip to remember in this very unusual time. Also we never lost a ride photo because someone removed their mask on the ride. That may be because we went fairly close to when the parks reopened so perhaps people were more likely to follow the rules.

No. We took ours off our upcoming trip. It’s not worth it in our opinion. Masks and sunglasses are going to cover our entire faces. There are less photopass photographers out right now. If we want a photo we will just take a selfie somewhere or take photos ourselves. I can’t imagine paying for photos that are all going to look the same and not be able to see any emotions behind them personally.

I downgraded from Contemporary Atrium Club Level trip with DDP to a camping at the Fort trip, so I added the memory maker. We go at least once a year and I haven’t gotten the memory maker in many years so I figured what the heck, may as well since I’m changing it up this year!

Although we are not going right now (but I wish we were!) I believe I would still get it. It's one trip. And in the grand scheme of the cost of a WDW vacation, it's short money. I would still want to get the photos, even with the masks on. It's a time to remember forever, and not just with a few cell phone pics. I'd still get it.

I would not. Some may say that it would provide a good memory of a different time, but is there anything good? Also, the mask obscures half of your face. Finally, from what I understand, if even one person on a ride displaces the mask, the photo is lost for everyone. Use a cell phone or a nice camera and take your own.

Setting up your own shot will add to the experience and the memory.

If you don’t buy it but have photos taken do they still allow you to buy individual photos?

I like this idea! I love MM and get it every trip, but I think this trip we will do without it because as someone else mentioned, seems like the pics will all start to look the same. And if there are no character meet and greet pics, that for us is automatically 1/2 of our MM gone. I will be sad though to not have my 7DMT movie/ personal Disney commercial. :(
