How does one use Memory Maker without having a Magic Band to tap at attractions? Can it be done through the app? I know in the past PhotoPass photographers have a little card they can give you to access pictures/Magic Shots they've taken.

I have a friend traveling later this month and I'm not sure how it would work since I've always used the Magic Band when traveling, so I want to make sure I'm giving them accurate information.

They can get a ticket card at the park entrance. In addition to letting them enter the park and any LLs, they can tap that card at the photo tap points for rides to link the ride photo to their MM.

I tjimontjerenisnalso something in MDE they can scan. When we were doing MNSSHPast year there was an issue where they had us pull up the app.and they scanned a QR code.

If they get the card, would it be at the entrance turnstiles, or at guest services?

They can get it at the turnstiles the first time they enter a park, or at any ticket booth, or at any Guest Relations outside any park entrance or at Disney Springs, or at the Official Ticket Center at DS. If they’re staying at a Disney resort, they can get a Key to the World card at the resort front desk, which will be both their room key and their park ticket.
What about ride photos?
You mean the ones that don’t have tap points at the end of the ride? For that, guests can set their M.D.E. account to use Bluetooth on their phone to link them over the air. That would work for the rides that do have tap points, too!

Yes, without the tap points. Do I need to have the app open? Just trying to figure out how to ensure we end up with them.

I believe you do need to have the app open on your phone, but your phone does not need to be unlocked or in your hand. It can be in your purse as long as it’s turned on and the M.D.E. app is open.

PS it doesn’t always work, just like the MB doesn’t always work to link photos. So keep a record of some kind that will help you remember approximately when you rode each ride, and if they don’t show up in 24 hours you can ask at one of the PhotoPass offices in a park or else submit a Lost Photo report online, and they’ll try to find the missing photos for you. They’ve found a lot for me, and I have a MB!
