Memory maker with Magic bands vs cards

Im staying offsite next March so no free Magic bands. I want to purchase memory maker, and would like the ride photos/video as a key part of it.

My question is that if I go through the rides that have that option, is there any difference to having a Magic Band or the card? From what I was told, my card can be used easily for parti admission and FP+s so I was planning on saving the $50 I would need for 4 bands. However, if it gets me my ride photos or gets me them more accurately, I may reconsider.

You can add the ride photos, but you have to do it manually, and I don't think you can add the videos (or the photos at 7DMT) without at least one band.

Thanks Brian, that's what I figured. Can I buy solid colored ones and link them later to my acct from disney store online before I leave? Or is my only option to buy them when I get there from DTD or one of the parks and link it at time of purchase?

You can purchase online from the Disney Store. Or, you can find them at the Orlando Airport Disney Store if your are flying in.
