I tried to get to the FAQ on the Disney website but I kept on being met with a broken link photo of Stitch!

Does anybody know how long MM lasts from first use?

We're going to have 1.5 days at WDW pre week long cruise then back to WDW for our main stay for 8 days meeting up with ourfriends. I just want to ensure we'll have no issues and the MM will be able to be in use the whole trip if it gets used on those couple days we're there before sailing the Fantasy? (I know we won't be able to use it on the cruise unfortunately, it would be cool if we could!)

30 days from the date you first download a picture. Just make sure you pre-purchase at least 3 days prior to the first picture being taken.

Sorry, I don't have the answer. I thought you could take photos for 30 days from the first picture taken but someone please verify this. I know that it is all tied into the claim and download windows, but I also keep getting "stitch ate the page".

I also have a related question. We are doing a split stay this summer. The first half alone, second half with my sister's family. I would like the Memory Maker to be on her account with all of us linked through Friends and Family. Then everyone can edit and download from her account. But, will it start linking pictures on our bands, a week before her check-in and tickets are activated? Then the op question, how long will the memory maker keep collecting our photos? When do they have to be edited and downloaded by?

Thanks!

OP - as erionm said, make sure you purchase at least 3 days prior to your first part of the trip because there's a waiting period. Then, MM will definitely cover you for the duration of both pieces.

DisMommyTX - I'm not sure what would happen if you're linked but you arrive before your sister with the MM has arrived and started using everything. I think it would work, but I am not sure. Why don't you want it on your MDE? The MM is considered "activated" at the time of your first download of a picture. All pictures you have taken (if you're at Disney all the time, for instance) will show up in your account, but you "activate" the MM purchase at the moment you first download something.

Each picture has an expiration date 45 days after it was taken. You need to begin downloading by the time your first picture is 45 days old. Then from the date of that first download, you have 30 additional days to add more photos to your account and have them all included under one MM purchase price. That means if you time it well, you can get pictures from visits spaced as far apart as 75 days included with one purchase. You can perform as many downloads as you like but must complete them within 45 days of the last picture being taken (or purchase an extension to give yourself more time if needed)
