We are traveling to Disney with another family and I see both reservations when I look at My Disney Experience. If I purchase the Memory Maker will all photos taken for any of us in the group, whether from one or the other family, be available to me? It may be worthwhile for me to purchase but only if I can use it for both families together. Can anyone shed some light on this?

We just did this a couple of weeks ago. Everyone in both families was able to add pictures to Memory Maker. Our kids are older and went on rides by themselves, meeting up with us later. We told them all repeatedly to make sure they add any pictures into the system. When both families got home, we were both able to view them. However, only the paying person can download them. So even if all of you can add to it and view them, only one person can download them. So plan ahead on how you are going to handle paying for them. If you guys live close, the person who pays for the package can log into a different computer and download the pictures for free as well. I think the CM I spoke to told me you can only do that for a maximum of 3 times (don't quote me on that last part, may only be 2).

Peanut did both families purchase the memory maker or just one family?

We just did this and it worked fine. I purchased one Memory Maker for my family and our friend who traveled with us and stayed several days after we left.

All you have to do is make sure both parties have gone on MDE and allowed each other access to their photos.

I was able to download all the photos (including the ones our friend got after we left). I had them burned onto CDs and sent one to her. Very easy.

How many cards do they give you? If your party splits up and are on rides you get pictures do you have more then one card to get them? So each group can have a card.

MM is done on the Magic Bands. Are they still issuing cards as well on request? We have PhotoPass+ purchased prior to the change so ours will still be card based and I'm interested to know if we are still able to add cards to our account.

I would think they have to, since you don't have a magic band if you're staying off-site.

There is no limit to how many times you can download. The link is removed after 30 days though.

PhotoPass cards aren't going anywhere any time soon. After all a magic band is just a PhotoPass card you can wear on your wrist.

We are onsite so we do have bands, but I think (might be wrong) that the old PP+ is still card based unlike MM+

I've had so much conflicting info from Disney about this so I'm not really sure.
