I did a search and couldnt find my answer first before I posted too.... So I need to purchase this year for our August trip, last year I did it 3 days before we left can anyone confirm how far ahead of our trip I can purchase it? Does our 30 day window start at purchase OR at first picture taken? Is it smart enough to know we don't arrive until August 18th and the 30 days will start then and not when I purchased it?
Sorry for the questions this year I am trying to get prepared!

You can purchase it now. The window begins at the time you download your first photo.
