Sorry if this has been discussed already- Ive searched and cant find the answer to my question.
In the past I remember using the free PhotoPass bracelets and just buying a few prints in the parks or at home. Is this still and option with the Magic Bands? Or do I have to buy the whole package for $149 to use this service at all? At that price I would have to have the mindset that I want to download ALOT of prints but in actually I probably only would want a handfull.
Thanks so much!

You can still purchase prints a la carte. You can have the PhotoPass photographer scan your MagicBand or get a PhotoPass card from them.

There is a new website for PhotoPass which is: MyDisneyPhotoPass.com. If your MagicBand is scanned, the pictures will appear there automatically. If you get a regular PhotoPass card, you will need to claim those photos just like before.

Great! Just to be clear: Without preordering the package ($149) I can go up to any photopass photographer and get photo taken just by scanning my band for free until I go to that site and physically order (downloaded print most likely) something?
Can I also have the ride photos scanned with the option of downloading them from that same site as a print? Or is that a package option only?

Yes, but the photo download is $14.95 each. A hard copy 5x7 is $14.95. 2 4x6 = $14.95 and an 8X10 is $16.95. That means the price of memorymaker is basically 10 photos. We usually wind up with about 400 photos before edits, and 800 or more after edits.

You can buy the ride photos individually, but if I remember right, they are about $16 or $18 each.

Is that price from the website or in park? My ideal is to just buy 1 or 2 ride photos decided after the fact when we get home.

we went in Feb and skipped getting the photo deal because it was such a short trip, but we had a few awesome pics from Merida and our Frozen M&G which we bought in a package including 2 5x7, 2 4x6 for like 50 bucks. I also want to say we got a bonus 4x6 with it...I believe it was one of those deals you could only purchase at your resort before you left - so check there just in case.

Ride photos are $18.95 plus tax (includes print & digital download). Digital only is $14.95 plus tax. They must be purchased at the ride itself, preferably at the time of riding, but within 48 hours.
