Hi folks. I have not been to WDW since PP changed over to MM so I have a couple questions. Our family is traveling in two groups with different arrival times. I arrive on Wed. The person who bought the MM arrives on Saturday. We were all planning on splitting the cost. Will I be able to add any pics from the time before the purchaser arrives?
 
I cannot say for sure...but I think as long as you are all linked to each other in MDE, it would be available to everyone. I would get a photopass card if they still have them..and link it to the account afterwards to be safe. When are you going? We're going to attempt to link this to a large group the end of this month. I can report back and let you know how it worked out.
 
I just called Disney. The only people who can add pictures to the account are the people in the account holder's room. If you arrive after them, I don't think you'll be able to add pics on that day. I hope I find out something different but, for now ..that is the word.
If anyone knows anything different ...please post!
 
alright..so I now did the online chat and got a different answer!!! ahhh!!
This person said as long as you are linked in my disney experience to the account holder..anyone can add pics
 

I don't know for definite but as far as I was aware you just had to be linked on MDE.

The room thing doesn't seem to make much sense either because what about those who aren't staying on site?

It would be a lot easier if all the employees were giving it out the same information.

Maybe someone who's already used it will be able to help more
 
As far as I can tell, as long as you're on the purchaser's Friends and Family list on their MDE account, your pictures should get added.
 
Anyone can collect photos. As long as you can get it into your PhotoPass account (which doesn't care about reservations or rooms or anything, just who is linked as friends and family) the. You can download photos.

December 2013 my family and two other families purchased the MM. As the holder of it I was able to share the photos with those linked in MDE. Be aware that PP and ride photos are operated by two different entities. Both can be end up being seen on the MM. We had problems with several ride photos not showing up in the account apparently due bad link between ride group and MM. Spent quite a bit of time talking to cast members trying to find the ride photographs in the system. Cast members who tried to assist gave different answers and said that MM is new and the bugs were still being worked out. I would suggest that you keep the ride numbers slips for each photo so that you have the exact number in case you need to have them located within 48 hours of the time the photo was taken. Also ask the cast member to scan the ride photos to your PP card, MM card and MB for back up. We checked our MDE daily to make sure ride and PP photos were showing up. We still had two ride photos not showing in the account when we returned home. What worked in locating these was calling the PP guest support (407.560.4300). It was a good deal in that we had all the PP and ride photos in one account with the cost of the MM shared among the three families was a big savings. We ended up with around 250+ photos. Hope this helps.

Yeah. Magicbands are just a PhotoPass card you wear on your wrist.
