Memory Maker ?'s

Is Memory Maker basically connected to your MDE account (magicband account), like fastpasses? We have 10 ppl. going, 3 different room reservations, but all under 1 MDE account. My mom wants to purchase memory maker so that she's able to get photos of all of us, even at times that we're not together in the parks. I thought I read that for ride pictures or dining pictures if the "owner" (my mom in this case) was not present then we wouldn't get the pictures on the memory maker account, is that correct?

As long as you are all "Friends and Family" and setup to share pictures, she can view/download any pictures you have. Some people are reporting that ride pics are showing up on any photopass account. But the verbage states that you can present a MagicBand or Photopass card that is linked to the account with MM to claim the pictures. So at the worst you get standard PP cards, have your mom link them, and then people can claim the pictures at the viewing stations.

That is not correct. Anybody under her account or anybody with their own account in her "My Family and Friends" list that she has given this permission to will be able to add pictures. Only she will be able to download them without the watermark. I recommend still swiping a band to claim ride pictures as the system does not always add them automatically or sometimes adds an adjacent ride vehicle.

In a departure from my other MM posts, if I were going with 2-3 families like it sounds like OP is, and could share the cost, then it probably is worth the cost.
