I have been trying to convince my dh that Memory Maker will be worth it for the upcoming trip. We have done photopass or photopass+ on our last few trips. We didn't like passing the photopass+ card back and forth to get ride photos when we did child swap. We were more concerned that this time I would have to go up to get all of his since it would be on my magic band.
Anyway, I tried searching here and google for an answer and finally broke down and emailed Disney. I was pleased to get an answer the next day.
Their email says:
"Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. We look forward
to your upcoming visit!
We have great news! We have just gotten new technology that will
eliminate the need for you to visit the photo counter after a family
member goes on a ride. So, if any of your family members are on a ride
that has photos available, their MagicBand® will automatically associate
the photo taken to your My Disney Experience account and Memory Maker!
This is one of the great new features of the MagicBands®!
If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us. See you real soon!"
Sounds like they have it figured out! I thought I would share in case others were wondering.
