Memory maker question

We bought the memory maker for our upcoming trip and the first day of use will be September 15. We just decided to take a second trip in December, more of a spur of the moment trip less structured. Anyways, will it be possible with extensions to use the memory maker for both trips? I'm just nervous with losing out on my photos and need some clarification and reassurance. We will be down the second time December 6-10.

I know the entitlement won't "activate" until your first download. So what you want to do is extend the expiration on the first trip's photos, right? I don't know how long the extensions are or how much they cost. Have you looked at that? Is it cost effective? Or how many you can get

Worse case is you purchase the extension and when they tell you that you can't get another one you use your MM. You won't loose the first trip's photos doing that. It just leaves you without one for December. If you only want 1-2 photos from the December trip it may be cheaper to just buy them. Guess it depends on what you think you'd want. I know we are doing another trip in Oct, on top of a trip in Aug. I really am not worried about photos in Oct. I have plenty from Aug, if that makes sense.
