Memory maker question now that I am back...

just got back and had a great time. We did memory maker and one member in our group wants to download the photos themselves who was connected. How does she set up her account in my disney experience and link so she can see them and download?

She just needs to make the account, then whomever held the Memory Maker package needs to add her in their "Friends and Family" list. Once that is done, she should be able to view and download the photos.

Someone in the "Friends and Family" list can view the pictures, but I thought it was only the person who purchsed Memory Maker on their account who can download the photos under that package. Unless the friend wants to pay to download the individual photo.

This is my understanding as well.. Whomever the MM is assigned to (not linked too) can only download.. You could one of two things- Giver her your signon and password and she can download on her computer (you can download as many times as you want so then you can also download ) or you download the pics on your computer and make her a CD...

I was there last September and was able to download all the photos that appeared in my account, including those of "linked" family members on a different reservation. Now perhaps that is because we both had a MM purchase.

I am really curious to know about this as we are going with a big group again this year and it would be nice not to have everyone purchase it.

You were able to download photos of linked family members because they were linked to your account. (I assume you mean they were on your Friends and Family list.) All you have to do for your next trip is make sure that everyone is on the Friends and Family list of the person who purchases Memory Maker.

No, this is not correct. Anyone on the Friends and Family list can access and download the pictures. That's how MM shares work.

That's not the impression I get from this FAQ on the Disney website:

"If you are the Guest who is assigned Memory Maker, you are able to download the photos (with a limited license for personal, non-commercial use) at no additional cost."

That sure sounds to me like the person to whom the Memory Maker is assigned is the only one who is allowed to download the photos.

I would hope Disney is smart enough to just let anyone in Friends and Family download. As others mentioned, all it would do by allowing only the purchaser of MM to download would be to give this person more work by having to give others their password or creating a CD/uploading to Dropbox so they could share that way.

Would any of you purchase a second MM if you're going with family and wanted their pics, or would you just ask them to send you a copy? Disney should know the answer to this.

We just had MM in January. There were three of us. Only my friend who purchased the MM could download so she gave us her user name and password so we could download onto our computers.
