Memory Maker - link before you get to the parks!

Ok this thread has me worried lol I called to have it added to my package. The cm I talked to never mentioned linking it, or having to pick something up. I assumed it was just there after I bought it. On MDE under my reservations it shows this

Confirmation Number: ********
Assigned To: Ashley ******
View and Download Your Disney PhotoPass Photos


So does that mean it is already linked? I will definitely ask at check in as well to be sure.

Yes. It's already linked.

Yes, if you have a confirmation number it should be already linked. I think my issue was picking the Will Call Option, and no one at "will call" knowing what they were talking about. It also seems like if you do it over the phone they automatically link it for you.

So I added Memory Maker to my package but I don't have a confirmation number. On the MDE site I see Memory Maker at the bottom but there is just a button for view photos, of which I obviously don't have any yet. So does this mean I'm already linked? I guess I should just call but sometimes it's easier to get answers here if I can.

If you see your profile then I believe you are set up. I couldn't see anything on mine until I linked the confirmation number. Never hurts to call too, just to be sure.

If you added it to your package and you linked your resort reservation then it's linked already. As to who, you'll be able to see that under my reservations.

But anyone in my party can scan their magic band for the photos, correct? And if we get extra photopass cards, we can link them from the MDE page? Also,I am assuming we won't get a special MM card; that it will just be on our magic bands.

Yeah anyone can scan. You will link them on the mydisneyphotopass side. PhotoPass cards link on my Disney PhotoPass, everything else on MDX.

Mm cards are only for purchases made on the web site or in park, and are mostly extraneous. Imagine a park ticket you've linked to your account - you don't bring it with you to enter the park, you just use your magic band right? Same thing here.

Sorry this is so confusing for me. photo pass seemed much easier. So when I order opt to have it sent to me. I will get a physical card as well as being able to use my magic band. Why? I wonder. I tried to purchase and wouldn't let me add anyone else in my party but me. About to give up. Can I add them at any time?

Im confused too! In order for my kids n hubbys magicbands to work with memory maker I need to go to the photopass site? Cant link them on MDE?

Also, can the linking be done ahead of time?

You can only link them in MDX you can't link them on PhotoPass. Can you make their fastpass selections? If so they're probably linked already. Go to my friends and family and they should either be managed guests or "this person can view my PhotoPass photos".
