Memory maker impressions

I Like the new memory maker setup, especially linked with the magicbands. Originally I was disappointed with the lack of included photo dvd that PP+ had, but the convenience of not juggling cards made up for it. Also, moving into the digital 21st century it made sense to manage the photos via downloads.

On the flip side, it worked inconsistently. Some rides we ended up with other families photos, some rides never had photos show up, even some street photographers photos never made it in. I have spent around 2-3 hours talking to guest relations, photo pass agents, and on the phone tracking down missing photographs so far.

I would love it if it worked 100pct. But, We quickly got into the habit of logging times and locations of photos to make it easier for the photo pass support team to find missing photos later. We just assumed it wouldn't work after the first day of failures.

How does everyone else like it so far?

I like it when I know I'm going to take alot of Photopass pics. I also had to spend time having the Photopass team track down photos but I think it was only about an hour.

One photo was never found but luckily I had one taken with my camera (I just started having that done this trip) so even though it's not the best photo, it's better than nothing.

I do have download issues which drive me nuts - the photos have been downloading in a different order than how they were taken. I thought it was me but it has done it a 2nd time so I guess there is something wonky with the download and my computer.
I just finished putting them in their correct order manually last night.

I've got a quick weekend trip in December and I'm not going to bother getting Memory Maker for that one - I only plan on getting one or two Photopass pics of me at the Osborne Lights so it won't be worth it for that trip. I'll just buy the download for those 2 separately.

Ok trying to catch up on MM. We used it back in April and loved it. We had to scan our bands after every ride and we didn't have any missing photos. Has anything changed and also we r going with a group of 17. We are the only ones with Magic Bands as we are staying at Shades this trip. Does everyone else just need to get the cards and then download them? Also if you don't have the bands or main mm card am I correct that you don't get ride photos?

They added this thing where you technically don't need to scan your band at the PP desk after the ride. All you have to do is ride and they snag it via rfid. I was skeptical, but it worked most of time. This though was our glitchiest experience and cause us to get other riders photos or none at all.

Really cool on 7dmt though. I didn't even know they had ride photos and videos until they showed up in the MM portal automatically.

Loved MM. Was so cool and convent.
I was missing some Minnie and half our Anna pics
I called and they put them on mde in like 5 mins.

We edited photos and downloaded last night. Very cool
I did order the disc too for 30$ bucks to be mailed

Thought it was worth it.

Will do it everytime. Just loved how even my 2 year old could scan band with photographer

When did you use it? I had this experience a year ago when it was first came out, right as it was transitioning from Photopass + to MM.

But on my trip two weeks ago, no problems. Every picture was there. And even before when I had ones missing, they found all of my missing pictures.

You do not need to scan your band at rides.

We loved using MM on our May trip and we had no problems with ours . To tell you the truth, my family loved using Photopass before MM was ever rolled out, I think DH was more obsessed by it then the rest of us were . I am going on a girls only trip with DD13 and DD11 in March and plan on purchasing it again, I especially like the fact that there is now a movie that you can get from 7DMT. However, thank you to those that gave the information about how you don't have to have your MBs scanned after getting off a ride. We scanned our MBs after each ride on our last trip. It wasn't a pain to do, but to know that we don't have to stand in another line just to get it scanned is awesome
