Does anybody know if you still get your photos on a cd with all the borders of choice when you buy the new memory maker? help please

I understand that Memory Maker is now set up for digital download.
Note. if you are linking more than one group for photo pass photos (i.e. in friends and family), only the person who the MM has been assigned to will be able to download photos for free. You may have to work around this if it applies to you.
Here is Disney's official policy.

As the owner of the account, you will be the only one who can download
your photos from Memory Maker, however as long as in your family and
friends list it says that everyone can view and share, then everyone can
view the photos. With that though, they can not download them for
"free", they would have to pay for each download. You will be the only
one who can download the photos unlimited and for no extra cost.

Best option is to burn to CD/DVD yourself, whist the photos are still available for download.

Yes...... You will have 30 days to download the photos Starting from the day the account is activated.
If you take a laptop with you, it is something you could do at the end of each day.

You can begin capturing photos as soon as you purchase Memory Maker. Once you download the first photo—or otherwise redeem your Memory Maker purchase—you then have 30 days to capture more photos. Please remember to download your photos before they expire.

If you purchased Memory Maker at the advance purchase price, photos taken within 3 days of the date of purchase will not be included in Memory Maker and must be purchased separately.


Add all of your borders when you get home and the save to your PC. Back up to CD/DVD just in case!!!!

Slight correction - you have 30 days to collect photos then each photo expires 45 days from the day it is taken.

You can edit them on the website and download both the originals and edited photos straight to your computer

How do I add another friend on to my Memory Maker? do they just get a card and then add there number to my account?

Only one person can get the ride and dining photos added. As many people as you want can add the standard photopass photos either via a regular card or my magic band.

If they use a magic band you need to be friends on MDE with the settings set to allow you to view and buy photopass photos.

Still a bit confused over the ride/dining photos, so I emailed Disney.......
Here's my question, together with their reply

If my family go separate ways (or even go to a different park) will I (
the assigned account holder) be the only person allowed to add ride
photos to the account for that day, or will the other members be able to
add theirs as well?

That's a great question! You will not be the only person able to upload
pictures to your website. Any guest that is a part of your room and has
a MagicBand, will be able to upload photos to your MyDisneyExperience
Account. That means that if your family goes separate ways, everyone can
get their pictures taken!

Well that goes against the FAQs on the website:

Q.
How do I link an attraction photo to my Disney account so that I am able to download it with my Memory Maker purchase?
A.
Immediately after you have experienced a participating attraction, please visit the attraction’s Sales Center and link the photo to your Disney account. You can link the photo using any MagicBand or card linked to your account—including Memory Maker cards and Disney PhotoPass Cards.

Attraction photos can only be linked to your Disney account if Memory Maker is assigned to you. Your family and friends cannot link attraction photos to their Disney account.

Personally, I believe that it will still only be one person that can add them as in the past with PP+ as the will need to see you have the MM to allow you to have the photo.
