Memory maker friends family AP

My parents have annual passes, and are linked to me through friends and family okn MDE.
I was considering purchasing MM, tomorrow so it's ready for our arrival this Friday, since we won't spend a lot of tikme with them on this trip.
If I purchase it, I'll have the rights to download but will any photos my parents take also be on the MM?
Should I even buy MM, because I'm connected to AP through MDE?

Your photos will show up on your parents MDE. As long as you are okay with your parents having to download your pictures or your parents will let you access their account to download pictures there is no point in buying memory maker.

Thank you, so AP members get MM for free? Or are there a few differences?
Sorry for questions, just making sure we will be able to download all the pictures with no limitations aside from who and how we can access the photos (different people in different parkes each day) videos (rides) anyone has their bands tagged throughout our trip.

Yes as long as your parents have a gold, platinum, or platinum plus AP they can download all of the photopass pictures of anyone on their friends and family list. I just pulled my app up and I can download my friend’s (who does not have an AP) photos from her trip back in February. I was not on this trip. Just make sure if you are the one who is friends with your parents that you always scan your band when pictures are taken. Also if you want ride photos of other family members and you aren’t riding the ride, send one of your bands with them.

Yes! As long as they have an AP with photos no point in spending the money. They also have a year to download instead of a month.

Nope. No problem at all! You get the photos immediately. When I upgraded my pass to the one with photos I was even able to download photos from earlier in our trip even though I had not purchased memory maker.

Thank you hamilkm for this info. My husband and I both have active platinum AP and my son's upcoming trip is linked on our MDE but I wasn't positive his MB would download onto ours. Glad to know that it should work without a problem and I will get the added bonus of being able to see all his photos before he gets home!

So, as a follow up to this question. My AP expired and I am not currently planning to renew. I hold the MDE account and my kids still have active AP that will remain through our next trip in March. I am assuming that we will still get all of the photos for download since my kids still have Platinum AP and are linked to my account?
