I'm hoping this will help others out as I was nervous and confused about this. We went October 13-16 and December 1-12. Thanks to something I saw posted here on the boards I realized it was possible to get Memory Maker once for both trips instead of paying twice. When we got back from our October trip, I edited all the pictures. I waited until 11/21 to download them all. I was under the impression I only had 30 days to add, edit and download the pictures. That meant when we got back from our December trip, I only had until 12/21 to edit and download 450+ pictures. I was able to add the extension online for free, I think it added 15 days to all the pictures so they are now all good until 1/30/15 and beyond. Unfortunately the photopass site has been glitchy and I haven't been able to sail through editing them, so I called today to see if I could get an extension on the download. A very helpful CM told me that the 30 days from activation (activation of memory maker is when you first download) is just to ADD new pictures. You can edit and download until the pictures expire. Hopefully the site will be up and working properly so I can finish editing soon!

I hope this will help if anyone else has 2 trips close together like I did! I saved $149 :)

I'm giving this a bump because we now have two trips within six weeks and hoping that I can use the Memory Maker for both trips.

Does anyone have any tips? We are sharing the memory maker on our first trip with our daughter and her family and the second trip with our son and his family. I would love to have his pictures included along with hers.

So is the memory maker now valid for 30 days for use in the parks? We are visiting for 17 days and would like to be able to use it the whole trip.

You've always been able to add pictures for 30 days after you download the first photo. And like the OP said, you can edit and download pictures until they expire, which is 45 days after they're taken.

If the first picture of the first trip is taken on Jan 22nd then I assume it would expire in 45 days. If the last picture of the second trip was taken Mar 1st, then would it expire in 45 days, too? We'll assume that all of the pictures from both trips were added. We would only need to hold off downloading the first picture until sometime in early February.

Sorry, I need to clarify. .. Please help confirm if these are right
Dates to be concerned about with Memory Maker:

1) if purchasing in advance (discounted price) do so at least 3 days ahead, of first few days of photos will not be included
2) Photos expire 45 days from the date taken (which means sits taken on different days expire on different days)
3) Memory Maker is "active" for adding pictures for 30 days. I thought this meant 30 days from first photo taken, but it sounds like 30 days from first download.

So, please check this example: I pirchase MM weeks before my trip. I have my first photo taken on Jan 1. This picture witll expire (no longer be available for download) on Feb 14. I continue taking pictures throughout my trip. If I download that picture on Feb 12, I have just "activated" Memory Maker and can only continue adding photos for 30 more days (through March 14). Now I can take a second trip (or many little trips) and it will capture photos up through March 14 and I'll have 45 days from their date taken to finish editing and downloading.

Interesting! You get almost 75 days of use if you keep a close eye on your dates.

thank you for writing this example because I was so confused!! Is this the case? That the memory maker doesnt become ACTIVE until you download the first pic, which you can do 45 days out, and then you will have more days???!!!

These concept is something I would like to figure out as well. Can someone please use my dates to compose an "example" so that I can see if it will work!?

I will be in WDW 2/17, 2/18, and 2/19. We will then return on 4/27, and leave on 5/6.

Are my dates too far apart to make the MM work for both of these trips??

Well, unless I'm not understanding how it works, a picture taken on 2/17 would have to be downloaded no later than 4/3. Since that would then be when MM becomes active, you would then have until 5/3 to add pictures, so it wouldn't completely cover both trips.

Thank you! I was starting to think about the same dates you are saying, but then wondering about an "extension" on the first trip's pictures, and how much it costs, and then if that would be how we could gain enough time to cover both trips??

Anyone able to check my dates on this and see if an extension would be of value to me to make it work for both trips??
