just a quick question to make sure I have it right .... I can download upload pics ( I never know the correct term lol) then I can buy prints/photo books from anywhere? Correct?

You got it. Along with your downloaded photos, you'll receive a copy of the copyright release (a photo file just like your real pictures) I always include that along with the photos I want printed, in case the store requires it. You can print or do a photo book at shutterfly, snapfish, Walgreens, etc.
