Hello All,

I'm really trying to decide if I want to get the memory maker or if I should just use my own camera and give it to the photographer? I love photos so it may seem like a no brainer of an answer, but I worry about the quality of shot. I'm a photographer myself and I'm wondering if their photos look like snap shots or if they actually look like a professional shot. Mind you giving them my camera isn't going to change a whole lot in terms of the quality of photo.

Sorry I've read other threads on the memory maker but I haven't been able to see any real examples of what was provided. I'm about 70% on the side of getting it just so I don't have to lug my camera around but before I purchase it I'd love to see what others got with this.

Not really an answer to your question, but what really sold us on the Memory Maker was the ride photos! Don't know if you've considered that at all but every single ride photo is included. My kids love making faces and being silly on the rides, so this is worth the price alone for us! And then the magic shots are also a lot of fun as well. So even beyond the quality of the "standard" shots there are so many extras included that we've found the value is there for us.

DH and I both carry cameras but we still buy Memory Maker. We could let the CM use our cameras but I like the frames and editing that I can do with MM before I print them or send them to Snapfish for a new album. We also like the ride photos and magic shots. Before MM we rarely had pictures of the two of us and now we have proof we actually go to WDW together!

Do a Google image search for "memory maker photos" and you will get thousands of examples.

I usually give them my camera, but my inside character meet pics are always wonky. I tried MM last trip, & their inside pics were definitely better than mine, but with good outside lighting they were comparable to my own camera. I still edited every MM pic a bit with PSE. As a photographer, I believe you will want to do some editing of thieir work. When handing the photographers my own camera, I found they would use their camera 1st to get all the candid/unposed interactions with characters...then we would pose & they would use their camera...then lastly snap a few with my camera. So with MM I did enjoy those beginning shots with beginning hellos, hugs, high fives, etc. We had other families on our trip to share the cost...I am on the fence about it this year as no one is traveling with us. I think I am going to upgrade just myself to AP since it includes MM & try to get 2 trips out of it at least

This is a magic shot

We didn't use MM until we had kids that were old enough that they wanted to meet characters and get autographs. Trying to get out he autograph book + photos for two 3 year olds was more than we wanted to handle, especially if me and DH had spit up so only one of us was there.

We got the memory maker for my Girl Scout troop so we could make photo albums with them. Next trip we are going with a large group and we're getting it again. I loved the ride photos and all the photos wig characters. Plus the extra photos we got were great.

We have used MM for the last three trips with out grandchildren. I have some wonderful candid shots of my grands and various characters. I love the magic shots and the ride photos. I'm planning on getting it again this fall when it is an all adult trip.

is MM new? I feel like we just got photo pass last time (2013), maybe photo pass plus, but we had all those options on our pictures. We have one of us at AK looking down with Stitch popping out of the ground.
