Memory Maker at Disneyland

Wait, what? You can't even buy PP+ inside DL anymore??

Nope - the last day you could buy it was Jan 3rd. Their website that states the PP+ preorder is no longer available suggested people to buy the PP+ onsite, but it did say 'this holiday season'. I guess that is why.

Wait, so there is no option at the park right now? Are their Photographers? I pre-ordered right when it went down and plan to use it in Feb. Will be a waste if there aren't photographers!

There are still photographers - so even without the PP+, I can get a picture taken, they give me the PP card and I go and buy that picture online if I want. You will be fine if you have already bought and paid for it - but as of now I can't walk into the Camera Shop and buy it like I used to be able to. They have photographers as it's available with most of the APs as well.

Sherilaine- are you there now and have tried to buy it? That is terrible news if they are no longer selling it!!

This just says that PP+ is not available for pre-purchase, but that it's still available to buy full-price at the camera stores when you get to the park, and that's what I saw on the website yesterday, as well.

I spoke to a cast member who told me it was no longer available - she looked up the price and then had to check with someone and came back and said "sorry, the last day you could buy it was Jan 3rd."

No, I called today prior to my trip to see and I was told you cannot buy it now, the last day to purchase it at the camera stores was Jan 3rd, 2016.

As a cast member from DCA stores. I work photo imaging for the rides a lot. I can tell you the PP+ is discontinued. No more on site sales but if you did buy one before they discontinued they will be honored and we still accept them. There are still photopass photographers they can give you a photopass card but you have to purchase the photos you want.

For attraction photos if you have a elgible AP(Signature, Signature+, Premier) then you can get these photos also. We don't scan but will be happy to instruct you with information to retrieve it. Usually just knowing your complete photo number and going to the photopass site and linking your AP.

And I haven't heard anything about any memory maker outside of something that WDW does.

Thank you very much for the clarification! You seem to be a credible source to receive this bad news from.

I am one of many who enjoyed the program, and I will definitely miss it on future trips!

Do you have any idea why they did this? Do you think they are planning another type of photo service? Thanks for the info!

Wait so we will have to pay for each picture? That is horrific. I was so hoping to get pictures of my kids at Ariel's and at the princesses. I can't afford to buy them individually. Probably won't go to Ariel's. This is crazy.

You can still take pictures with your own camera as well. At the character meal the photopass people only take the one pic with Ariel anyway. The rest you take on your own camera. You can also have the photopass photographer take a picture with your camera if you go see the princesses at Royal Hall. The only thing you would not get like you would with PP+ is the photo print package at Ariels and borders on the photos

I am getting a Signature Annual Pass for my next trip. Before I decide to sell my photopass+ that I have I just want to make sure that as a signature AP you still get magic shots too? The only thing that is different is no borders and no photo print package at character meals right?

No problem everyone. Once again I'm more of a stores CM not necessarily know everything about Photopass service just what they tell us for the imaging for the attractions that affect us.

I have no idea why they discontinue other than I guess they evaluate the service and what they offer regularly to decide whether they keep or discontinue something. I thought it was a good service and always recommend it to guest who planned getting a lot of photos and were visiting multiple days.

I would assume with the APs you'd have access to magic shots and what not but you'd be better off getting a correct clarification with a Photopass CM.

Did they also stop selling the option to get all of your ride photos for $49.95?
