Memory Maker at Christmas time.

We have used photopass in the past at WDW and were happy with it. I know that it is now called memory maker with a few differences.
Has anybody done this at this time of the year?
I am wondering is it worth it to purchase this for the week between Christmas and NewYear ?
Are the parks so crowded that it is difficult to get near a photographer?
Do you get any special shots that you wouldn't normally get that are Christmas themed?
Are the photographers there early in the morning for the extra morning times and late at night for the extra hours as well?

Not sure about the crowds then but we used it at thanksgiving and because it was a super busy time i think there were more photogs. Also more "animated" shots even got a prep and landing one in MK . We had over 300 photos and I love the editing choices with borders and holiday stickers!

For a week Im sure you can make it worth your whille

I'm sorry I don't go that time of year, so I don't know about the accessibility of photographers, but I know that the borders and stickers available to you online differ according to where you were when and where the picture was taken. I.e. there will be lots of Christmas themed borders and stickers you can add; when you're in MK you get different borders and stickers that show up as an option than when you're editing a picture taken in Epcot. They have lots of Very Merry Christmas Party borders as well.

For picture opportunities I would say yes...for crowds and how long the lines are going to be, I would say only if you do not mind spending a lot of time waiting in line for pictures.

We were there Dec. 23rd-Jan. 1st last year and used Memory Maker. I didn't find the lines to be particularly long, but I hadn't used photopass too much on prior trips so I have nothing to compare it to. We were glad we used it as in addition to the regular photos, there were extra places to get photos (ex. in front of giant Christmas trees outside AK and DHS, Osborne lights etc...)

FYI, Memory Maker hasn't replaced PhotoPass. PhotoPass is the photo-taking service and still exists. Memory Maker is a product you can buy. What Memory Maker did replace is the PhotoPass + CD.

I've never personally gone that week, however I've sent clients and last year for their 6 days/ 5 night trip she had ended up with over 250 photos which I think is about average, so no less because of crowd level.
