Memory Maker Annual Pass question

We're doing a family reunion at WDW next month, and I've been considering Memory Maker. My research tells me that as long as the other families on the trip allow me to see their pictures in MDE, I can purchase memory maker and then share the downloaded pictures with everyone.

Here's my question. I believe my cousin, who is attending, has an annual pass (I see Platinum Pass in MDE for him). And my understanding is AP holders can get their Photopass pictures for free. So similar to Memory Maker, will he be able to see all of our pictures since we're linked on MDE? Does it work as if he's already a Memory Maker holder and he can download all our pics and send them to us after the trip? If this is the case, then I don't need to buy Memory Maker.

If your cousin has an annual pass he does get Photopass pictures for free and anyone linked to him on MDE can see and download those pictures so you don't need to get Memory Maker, which saves you some money!

If you're referring to pictures taken that aren't scanned to his account, I'm not sure if he can download pictures scanned to a non-passholder account I've never tried it!

Edit: I'm pretty sure non-passholder pictures have a watermark over them, so you'd have to have your pictures scanned to his account

Ok so it sounds like it doesn't work like Memory Maker then. We won't be together all the time so I won't be able to have all our family's pictures in his account.

It does work like Memory Maker. As long as your cousin has everyone on his Friends and Family list, their pictures will show up in his account - he doesn't need to be with you. (He's the only one who can download them, though.)

I have an annual pass which includes photo pass. My traveling companions do not but based on what I am reading as long as they are linked to me on MDE I should be able to view and download their pictures. I don't have to be with them or in the photos. Is that correct?

I have an AP and my family doesn't. Everyone was linked on MDE and was able to use their magic band for photo pass. We all were able to see each others pictures, but only I was able to see them without the water mark and was able to download all them, even if it wasn't my magic band that was scanned.
We noticed some pictures at the beginning of the trip that my brother took didn't go to my account, so we just went to a photo pass kiosk and they transferred them over!
