Memory Maker -- activation?

I'm getting Memory Maker for an upcoming off-property trip. There are about 21 people linked on my MDE account, not all have magic bands. Will ride photos still download automatically to everyone carrying an annual pass ? If not, is there a way to scan a seperate Memory Maker card for each picture ?

No. If you don't have a magic band you'll have to visit the ride counter for photos. The long range read only works with magicbands.

The Memory Maker page will always show the option to purchase it because Memory maker is a product, not a service. You have to go to PhotoPass to view your photos. They aren't the same thing (heck PhotoPass doesn't even sell memory maker). The memory maker sales page will always be used to sell memory maker.

As long as you're either in charge of someone's MagicBand or they have chosen to share their photos with you the photos will show up in your account if scanned to your band. Only the person with memory maker will be able to see ride photos or download photos.

I bought MM a few days back We're staying onsite and have MBs. In my confirmation I have a 'Will call' document which seems to suggest I need to activate it. Is that right - I didn't really want to be wasting any time at customer services activating anything...

You would if you wanted the memory maker card but you can also claim the confirmation number on the web site to link

When I tried to link the confirmation number I got a message saying it was already linked to a booking (or similar).
I have a "Your Memory Maker Photos" option in my plan - BUT my email confirmation has a pdf attachment that clearly states:
"Will Call Instructions:
Will Call - Pick up your order at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket sales location on or after Jul 20, 2014.
The Guest named on this confirmation may pick up the Will Call order on or after July 20, 2014 by presenting a valid government-issued photo ID and confirmation number. The Guest will also need to present the original credit card used to purchase the order."

When you buy the MM with your resort package reservation, do you get the Pre-order discounted price or do they sneak in full price?

As long as it's more than 72 hours it's a preorder one.

I'm going to be real with you though I've never seen them add a full priced one. I don't know if they know how.

Sounds like it's already linked then. If you go under my reservations and memory maker shows up then you're golden.

I got that same message and did not finish the order. I am planning on sharing with friends that arrive before us. I am the Disney nut so I am dealing with all of the reservations but her kids had sports things so our dates are different. We overlap in the middle. I was afraid that she would not be able to get pictures for the days she arrives before us. I am also confused. Think I may order on the phone tomorrow.
