The ceremony is totally custom to you.

Depending on who you choose as your officiant, you can totally customize the ceremony with any elements you want. (I've seen custom vows, sand ceremonies, rose ceremonies, wine box ceremony, etc.)

I've also seen people make/bring their own special bouquets/boutonnieres or decorations for those, such as charms, pins, etc.

The music you choose will personalize the event.

You could probably bring your own cake topper and cake knife/server.

I had a silk bouquet made that I am planning on using instead of their flowers.

I am also going to call and order a cake to be delivered to our table at tea (the meal we are having directly after the ceremony.)

I am working on the ceremony vows now, so those will be custom to us as well.

We wrote some additional VR material - and read our thoughts to each other during the middle of the ceremony - I also added little "gifts" as a part of my vows that corresponded to what I was saying - for example I gave him a grape soda "Ellie" pin from the movie UP while letting him know he was my "Carl" , some pixie dust so he would never feel like a lost boy, etc. It was soooo sappy and romantic and perfect for us
