Memories or Escape Wedding Reception Ideas

Hi all,

I'm still trying to figure out what to do for our reception dinner, so I thought I'd throw it out to you guys...

Maybe you've had a Memories or Escape Collection wedding and you created the perfect evening or maybe you just have some good ideas.

So, there will be between 3 and 6 of us at the ceremony which is at 3pm on Luau Beach at the Polynesian.

I want something intimate, not just a dinner in a restaurant with everyone else. I'd like (if possible) to incorporate viewing "wishes" or "illuminations". Problem is, Wishes is not until 10pm that night!

Any ideas or experiences you have, I'd love to hear them!

After our VR we had drinks at Mizner's Bar and then dinner at Citricos. We ended the evening with more drinks and fireworks at the Top of the World Lounge at BLT. You say that you don't want a restaurant, so I guess your options are private dining, or doing a fireworks cruise on, say the Grand 1 with dining on board.
You could also do a small dessert party at Epcot or Sago Cay during the fireworks.

Yes, she has been brilliant, I had a look at her blog and she gave me some great ideas. I am (almost) convinced that hiring a venue for private dining and a dessert party at Epcot is what I want, but I figured there is nothing wrong with seeing what other people have done!

I had no idea you can get private dining at special places around the park.
Does anyone know if they have this at Animal Kingdom?

I'm also having a memories wedding and have no idea what to do for dinner. I really wanted something special however we do have a young daughter who needs to be in bed by 7:30. I would love a special table for just the 3 of us in Animal Kingdom.

That's part of my concern too, I have a 7 year old.
