Memorial Weekend or First week of June

I am planning a trip to Universal. Which weekend will be better crowd wise?

I would think that Memorial weekend would be busier since it is a holiday. I think many schools are not out yet the 1st wk of June which keeps crowds lower.We were at US last year during the first week of June and crowds were low. Even FJ was less than 30 minutes every time we went by. Hulk and Transformers were always less than 15 min standby waits. The longest line we encountered was the Minions ride. Granted, this was 2 wks prior to DA opening up but we are going back May 30-Jun 6 this year and hoping for low to moderate crowds.

I am crazily thinking about a last-minute trip around June 1st, just for a few days. We're throwing a huge graduation party for my dd on May 30, and then she and my other teenage ds leave for church camp 2 days later. I'm thinking it would be a great idea to surprise my 12 and 4-year-olds with a spur-of-the-moment trip! And Mama is going to need a vacation after all the work of planning this grad party! lol. We already have our annual pass, so I just need to find reasonable airline tickets!

Thanks for your advise. I was looking at June dates and they dont have any discounts. Bummer.
