Trip to Universal Studios during memorial weekend
Me, hubby, my 2 teenager kids, my niece,<O</O
my brother, my adult daughter, and my sister in law came Sat may 27th

Fri May 26th
The minivan broke in front of our house, it took a long time to be fixed, and we arrived at the RPR late. It was 10:35 p.m. and the line at RPR was Big. About 30 people waiting in line to check in, But then I remember that I am a lowes member and that I had my card with me. The lowes preferred line only had 2 people waiting to check in. So I moved to the lowes line and after 10 minutes I got my 5 cards for Me, hubby, my 2 teenager kids, and my niece. Then we were really hungry. We went to Citywalk. I used my ENT meal coupon, my universal credit card, and we ate at Pastamore. Almost every one was happy with their food, but the Lasagna cheese was horrible. Be careful if you want to try Lasagna! Then we headed to the movie theater to see X-man. I used my old Cineplex tickets for movie, popcorn, food, etc and they (Amc) took them with no problem. <O</O

First, my 2 teenger kids and niece were stopped by security guards because they were too small to be around Citywalk without and adult, but when the security guard saw me and my hubby coming out of AMC theater they realized these “kids” were accompanied by adults. Nice job done by security guards! They have their eyes open after midnight.<O</O

Then, after the movie we went back to the room. It was around 1.00 a.m. We decided to go walking to the resort. Big mistake! Let me explain. Suddenly we heard the sound of something like birds, but then we feel water hitting our faces like it was raining, and then we realized these were the sprinklers. We tried running, hiding, but nothing worked. The place was dark.(The next day at nigh I went back to the same place of the attack and I counted about 3 lights that were not working) During the walk to the entrance to the RPR we were attacked with their sprinklers. We could not see which way the sprinkles were turning! We ended up wet like a dog, and we almost pee ourselves making fun of each other. We entered the lobby. It was cold. We headed for the bathroom, and then to our room. Thanks for the Sprinklers new ride RPR!<O</O

May 27<SUP>th</SUP>.<O</O

We checked out of the resort. We went to universal studios. I used the 5 meal deal tickets. The lines were long. The cashier got me the wrong food and wrong sipper cup. I did not feel like going back to fight with them (Mel`s drive in) everyone was eating except me. My niece ask me and I explained to her what happened. She took my sipper receipt and my food back to the counter. Then I saw this lady (universal supervisor?) who came to our table and she ask me what happen? I told her I waited 40 minutes in line to get the wrong food and the wrong sipper cup and I give up. She smiled and said, “ You give up? Don’t give up, Lets go and get your food, Where is your receipt.” I told her my niece took it. Then suddenly my niece came back with the right cup and food. Then we headed for the MIB ride, and saw fear factor for our first time. We ate again at international restaurant, and we exit the park at 3:30 p.m. to meet with the rest of the group. My sister in law brung a Paella that she cook so we had no need to go back to the park to eat. We finished the day by the swimming pool at a private house that we all rented. Total vacation
price for RPR and private house $ 800.00.

May 28<SUP>th</SUP><O</O

Checked in at RPR for 2 rooms. Went to the park with my brother sister in law and 3 teenagers’ kids. This was the first time at the parks for my brother, and sister in law and they (loved it! They want to come back again next year. Now, they know about express with RPR keys. We stay at the parks until 8:00 p.m. and then we ate at Latin quarter and we headed to see the Da vinci decoded movie at citywalk and then to the rooms to sleep. Only 5 people for 2 rooms because the rest stayed at the private house on may 28th, so we slept comfortable.<O</O

May 29<SUP>th</SUP> Memorial day.<O</O

Checked out of RPR went to the house and everyone was sleeping at the house. Thanks to those sleeping beauties at the house I was not able to use my last meal deal tickets. I had 2 park meals deal tickets and I arrived at islands of adventure at 3:45 p.m.<O</O

Went to guest services to try and downgrade my meal tickets to one park only because we were late for going to 2 parks. The lady at guest services said that she could downgrade them but I will get no money back. Huh? I asked for money back or full refund so I can buy one park only. She said she can`t do that because these were bought online. So I ended up using my universal credit card and bought 5 one-park meal tickets at the restaurants and got stuck with the 2 park meal tickets. Anyway we had a nice time at the park with our express keys, and this ended our visit to universal studios Florida.

June 25<SUP>th</SUP> (Me, hubby, brother with 2 daughters that never visited the parks)

Okay remember the free ticket and the 35.oo per person voucher? Returned to the park to use my 2 park meal tickets. I used all of them on this day. I used 2 for me and hubby and I sold 3 meal tickets to my brother. Went to the park in the morning at 9:40 am. Not a lot of people yet. At 11:00 went to the restaurant to eat. Not a lot of people in the restaurant. I ate Chinese rice combo for breakfast. I hope I don’t get sick! Then we headed for our first ride the popeye ride. Big mistake! After the bubbles going up and up. The big black belt stopped the round boat! We were stuck for 12-13 minutes. The huge water guns were hitting people in their faces. They were screaming and screaming to stop hitting us with water. I started saying this had never happened to use before. The ride must be stuck. Then I remember the sprinkler attack at the RPR and I though is this a conspiracy? They give us a bath every time we enter their property? After being more wet than wet water, and ten minutes had passed, I joined the screaming crowd for help. This is no fun anymore and this ride turned into a BATH not a ride. I remember seeing a man inside a cabin before going thru the top of the hill and I turned my head back and I screamed as loud as I can I am going to remove my seatbelt if U don’t stop the water torture! Then after one minute the ride started moving. We all came out of the ride with a sad/mad face. Nobody was happy! When we were walking and dripping water people were looking at us strangely! Then it started raining. We had no need to cover ourselves because we were very wet. We were walking in the rain and around islands of adventure like it was not raining. The park started to decrease in crowd. We loved that. We went into a lot of rides and we ate a lot. We even went to the old universal park. When it was raining we went to eat with the bracelet and when it was not raining we walked to the rides. Almost all of the old universal studios rides are INSIDE rides. At 8:50 p.m. we exit the old universal park and we were dry. My brother ate 7 times. I ate 4 times. My hubby ate 5 times. The rest of the group ate about 5-6 times. At the end we were happy again. We all agreed that the only ride we did not like was popeye ride.

In conclusion we liked everything on this trip and memorial weekend trip exept the long lines at the restaurant for the meal deal, the sprinkler attack, the bad lasagna cheese at Pastamore, and the popeye ride that turned into a water nightmare.
