We are trying to plan a trip to WDW and things keep changing. We were going in two weeks--spring break, then were looking at early to mid June and now are seriously considering May 25-31. So we would be there over Memorial Day weekend.

Anyone been that time? Way too busy?

Thanks again!

Just bumping for answer!

I've been to WDW during memorial day twice in the past few years and the crowds are pretty heavy. However, it seemed to me that everyone was just walking around and the rides weren't all that terrible. Just get a fast pass for the more popular rides (like get one RIGHT AWAY for test track if you go to Epcot).

Thanks, I was afraid it may be really crowded. Do you think it is a crowded as spring break time (first of April)?

We were at WDW last year the week before Memorial Weekend. We started our stay on Tuesday and didn't have too much of a problem until the end of the week. The crowds started building on Friday and Saturday was even worse. I would never plan a trip connected to that weekend again!

The best time to go for us has always been the beginning of May - usually the week after Mothers Day. The weather is USUALLY not too hot yet and the parks are not so crowded. It's kind of an after Spring Break - before Summer Vacation break in the crowds.

We've been the past 2 years during Memorial Day weekend. It's not the most crowded (from what I hear), but it is crowded. We prefer the less crowded times of the year, but sometimes you have to take what you can get when you can get it. We have found it to be manageable, though, with proper planning. Go to the parks early in the day and make sure you have PS for whatever sit-down places you want to eat. We have been enough times that we don't ride everything anyway, but we could have a great time even if we didn't ride anything !! You should be able to get a lot accomplished early the first few days. We're going again this year - maybe we'll see you there.

Have a wonderful trip whatever you decide.

We spent Memorial Day week at WDW in 2003. We went to Universal and IOA on Sunday and Memorial Day. We arrived at the gates about 30 minutes prior to opening. By early afternoon, we had done everything we wanted with little waits. As we were leaving, I couldn't believe the masses of people just coming into the park. Suffice it to say, by that time, the waits were much longer. We also got our early starts each day at the Disney parks with basically the same result. We also went to the E-ride night at the MK. I think if you go during holiday times, it's very important to get that early start.

we went memorial day weekend till the weekend after last year

we planned our trip a couple weeks earlier this year if that says anything :earseek:

From the website on MGM wait times, it seems like only TOT and RNR had long waits. If you go early and fast pass those rides, sounds like it shouldn't be too bad.
