How're the crowds? We've never been that time of year. All new stuff....Pop (never been), Spring...never been...Help me out!

Good time to go.

If you are a regular visitor you understand that WDW is always busy.

With that said most schools are still in session, The long weekend of the 27th, 28th and 29th will above normal crowds but the rest of the week following memorial day will be normal

First of all, Pop is wonderful. The theming is just terrific, and Everything Pop is one of the best areas on property. If you have littles, they will love it. Get some tie-dye cheesecake while you're there. It's not a life-changing dessert, but it looks like you're eating play-doh (and it tastes like good cheesecake), and it's fun. :goodvibes

Crowds always tend to be higher on holidays, but we've found Sunday and Monday to be the most packed. This year, however, Pandora is scheduled to open on Saturday the 27th, so Animal Kingdom may rival MK for crowd size (which I'm quite sure has never happened before). We're arriving on Sunday the 28th, so I'm using this time to watch crowd calendars and read these boards to see what our fellow late May attendees are planning. If you haven't committed to a touring plan yet, I would head to Epcot or Hollywood Studios on the Sunday & Monday and let the increased crowds see AK and MK. If you're going to AK on the Pandora opening days, get your FP the very minute you can. Take advantage of ROL dining packages to secure better seating for that event, and bring along some Disney spirit and patience.

We've found that Memorial Day isn't any worse than spring break. Have fun!

We have been for Memorial Day weekend before (Memorial Day started our 12 day trip). We avoided the parks on the Sunday and Monday, instead we went to DTD and resort hopped, and then on Memorial Day (the Monday) we spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon. TL was really busy, but we still got to ride all the slides and have a really great time. With that said, I would not hesitate to go that time of year again, we love WDW in Spring and like PP said before, it is before all the kids are out for Summer break.

As for Pop, we have never personally stayed there but we have visited it a couple of times (we really liked the food court). I would definitely stay there (and we are not big on the value resorts), love the theme of the resort, and it is a walk to AA where you can wonder around and get a ton of great pictures of the resort.

Pop is a wonderful resort. We like the theming. Even though it is big and we don't get preferred rooms, it seems like the food court and bus stop are always convenient enough. We like to walk over and explore AoA.

We haven't been to WDW at Memorial Day since before the FP+ era. I suspect this year's Memorial Day weekend will be a different beast because of Pandora. Record crowds are possible for AK. MK is always a holiday draw. If Pandora is a priority plan to get to AK super early and hit one or both of the rides. Maybe plan to see that land at night because it is supposed to be awesome. Overall, prepare for large crowds this Memorial Day. If it turns out to be less, then its like a bonus
