Memorial Day crowds..bad?

What about the week before Memorial Day? We were thinking of going up Thursday May 10 to Friday May 18 and Memorial Day is the 21st. Is it still crowded then or not so much?

This is similar to what we did last year. I think we did May 21-28 (Memorial Day was the 29th). We didn't find the crowds to be anything out of the ordinary. I was there with my fiancé at the beginning of May (May 5th-11th) and the crowds were much worse from all the cheerleading and dance groups compared to when I went back at the end of May. I would say we even had lower crowds at the end of May versus our Fall trip which ran from Oct 28th-Nov 5th

Oops, good thing we haven't set anything in stone yet. I knew we were planning on going the week before Memorial Day just couldn't remember what weekend it was lol. Thanks for mentioning that!

I have a trip booked for 5/21-5/25. Obviously we won’t know what the crowd levels will be like until that time but I’ve had minimal problems getting ADRs when I want them.

FYI, I don't know the exact dates, but look out for cheerleading competitions in early to mid May.
